After a mixed bag of reviews I took the plunge and did not regret it. We had two rooms (216 and 219) and they were superb. Massive rooms, well decorated. 216 had the best view over the front of the hotel. Staff were really pleasant and helpful. I had a great room rate via booking.com. I tried booking it direct with the hotel but they could not match the rate and were over 50% higher -although their rate included breakfast! The breakfast was average but at £9.95 it's convenient but not great. The cooked breakfast was a little stingy with it being served for you. Could have done with some pastries though. Gym was nothing special if you are a regular. Pool was fine and not that cold as others mentioned. I would go back again if I could get the same or lower rate of £90 per room. I would probably go for teh breakfast at the local cafes. Sheeringham have several decent places and you get a lot more for your money

Room Tip: Mobile signal is dreadful for the whole area but wifi occasionally works.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your review. With regard to your reduced room only rate you had the choice of breakfast in either the In2Blu restaurant for the additional charge of £9.95 or the Hole in One family sports bar and grill where you could have had a full breakfast for only £4.95. Use of the leisure facilities such as the gym, pool, tennis courts and golf course are currently offered FREE when booking DBB. I take on board your comments about the gym; however it is currently only a small hotel gym. We have future plans to extend these facilities. In answer to the WiFi, had you have brought this to our attention we could have looked into this matter for you. Thank you for your constructive comments.

The hotel was very nice and the welcome from reception staff was met with helpfulness also very friendly...the rooms were nice we sayed on 9th August and had room 250 which was a nice view of the road countryside and small view of the sea the room was clan an the bathroom was lovely the only downside was that the bed dipped in the middle which was very uncomfortable, our friends mattress was the same, however we did report this to the main reception.....he pool was lovely and clean an the resturant was also clean with good waiting staff one lady was especially helpful and was advising us of the places of interest which was a nice touch...sherringham was lovely and the two resturants in the town centre th village in and especially the pepper pot in west Runyon was second to none.....thank you

Thank you for taking the time to review the hotel following your recent stay. We are delighted to hear your kind words and have passed these on to all concerned. We noted your comment regarding the mattress and are pleased to say that this has now been replaced as part of our going refurbishment programme. Kind regards.

We were put in a family room on the third floor which stank of wet dog/stale smoke.

The floor creaked so badly we were afraid to move at night.

The shower is like standing in a drizzle and the pillows must be made of beach pebbles.

When we asked - there was no room service and with small children were told to go to the bar by the reception staff.

The final straw was when we asked at 9.39am if we could check out early because we had to leave we were told we have to pay in full for a night we won't even use.

Really really BAD and it's a shame cause the location is nice and the service at the hole in one club house next door was good.

Room Tip: Think before booking here or ask if dogs have been allowed in the room you have booked, a lady we spoke to changed three times before finding a suitable room.

Some friends took us to lunch here last weekend. The hotel is in the village of West Runton on the North Norfolk Coast next to a golf course. We had the Sunday carver and it was excellent. The meat was beautifully cooked and the accompanying vegetables were hot and we had a good selection. The waiting staff were friendly and helpful. I would certainly highly recommend this hotel if you are int he area.

Spent a very nice relaxing one night break on our arrival there was a bit of a mix up as to if our room was ready or not but this was very quickly sorted and no sooner than we had entered our room a nice young man from reception was on the phone to apologise for the mix up when we arrived. We wasted no time and headed down to the indoor pool for a lovely swim after hour three and a half hour journey totally relaxing had it all to our selves.
