Just had an evening meal and it was good at a fair cost, A pleasant atmosphere in almost Baronial bar restaurant. Garden large and pleasant just to sit in summer with a drink

Very good, wide ranging menu, with friendly and helpful service. Comfortable seating in high ceiled room with bar. Table service. Only small criticism is that the board outside advertising their 2 for £14 offer should have 'Mondays to Fridays' added to it so as not to mislead.

The Sea Marge is a wonderful building in a lovely village. The building is full of interesting details in an Arts and Crafts style. There are a variety of places to eat, some of which can be dog friendly (though we didn't have our dog on this occasion). Some are rather formal, but we ate in the atmospheric bar, overlooking the garden.
The hotel does a special lunch/early menu of 2 mains for £14 - this is good value unless you are vegetarian, when the choice seemed to beeither Caesar salad (veggie?) or curry with mash, pastry and roasted carrot. I passed on that and had a very delicious afternoon tea - lovely cakes in particular and nicely presented.

What a lovely find up the road from where we were staying. We called ahead to make sure food was still being served & when we arrived, the lady at the bar (Lesley) realised we’d called.

Friendly service with a smile. Good home cooked food at very reasonable prices. I had fish and chips and my boyfriend had the burger. If we’d had space (&weren’t shattered from our day of walking) we would’ve had dessert which sounded delicious!

Slightly mortified we didn’t leave a tip (no cash left!) but hopefully many potential customer will read our recommendation and pay a visit.

If we were nearer we’d be back sooner!

We went here for dinner with the family. Each of us had a different starter and main. The food was beautifully presented, cooked as we like it although others may say that the vegetables are not cooked enough, they were al dente style. The wine was very good and reasonably priced. The waiters were friendly and attentive. Beautiful building and location. Worth a visit. There is a beautiful garden where you could sit on a summer evening too.
