A little delayed on the review, but one I must leave!
If it were just the food about this place, it would almost seem too easy to rate this place at a 5. The dishes are very inspired, fresh, and made with passion. Momo takes time to explain not just the dishes themselves, but his processes and sourcing of ingredients. It makes the entire meal that much more interesting when you can get some insight on how everything was put together. I really enjoy french food, but not always the formality of it. Le Ti Bouchon strikes a very enjoyable compromise here in creating a Caribbean atmosphere without any loss in the culinary experience.
Momo is a really masterful conversationalist. He has so many stories and information that he keeps you interested the entire time you are there. He makes sure to visit each table equally and his personality really permeates the entire atmosphere and warms the restaurant. He really brings the entire restaurant together without any imposition.
This was our last meal on the island and absolutely the best experience to leave with. I must say that any time I think back to this vacation it will be Le Ti Bouchon that stands out and I would go back to the island just to visit Momo and his restaurant.
As if this weren't enough, the experience brought everyone close enough that another table offered to take us back to the hotel as they were staying at the same one. It was late, taxis can be expensive and we hadn't rented a car. Momo insisted he drive us back himself. I think this type of courtesy and politeness has been completely lost back home in LA and it was incredibly refreshing and appreciated.
Thanks for a great experience and we will return as soon as we can!
