we stayed for one night in a room (3) with four poster.
a great old building with character and creaking floors as you would expect.
we were well looked after by the evening staff and had an excellent meal the soup was ace! breakfast was cooked to order and didn't disappoint.
the short time we were here was great thank you.

Lovely little Manor House just outside Canterbury. Room with four poster was beautiful with neat touches such as a small fridge and teapot !! Food in restaurant both for evening meal and breakfast was all freshly cooked, large portions and beautifully presented. All the ingredients for a lovely stay and then you have the wonderful and attentive staff. They cannot do to much for you and so get the importance of happy and considerate customer service. If you want a small hotel, where you the guest are treated like a real person this place should be on your list.
Can't recommend highly enough, had Sunday lunch twice, great food but service is second to none. Just turned up on Saturday, not staying or anything and they let us sit in lounge and have a cup of tea for 5, and they took cake we'd brought for my daughter and brought it out singing happy birthday. Stayed for 1.5 hours, total charge £10!
Stayed here for one night recently on business and absolutely loved it.
The food was really fantastic, the room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable.
It's one of those moments when you hesitate to write a short review as I want to keep this to myself of just how good it was!
I'll most definitely be back.
A perfect location for visiting Canterbury and the surrounding area with good road links.

Friendly welcome, a warm quiet comfortable room with pleasant views and a good standard of cleanliness.
The breakfast offered a good choice of well cooked hot food.
We had a couple of evening meals which again were well presented and reasonably priced.

Words do not do such a fantastic day justice. This venue is so magical for weddings, the grounds are gorgeous and if lucky with the weather as we were fabulous photos outside. We stayed with family and friends Friday to Sunday and it felt like we were at home, but on a much larger scale, it was so relaxing, setting up for the wedding all the staff made us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The food is superb and excellent value for money. Thank you to Hayley and her team for making this such a magical moment for us. Definitely visit again sometime in the future.
