Very nice room with breakfast. £530 for three nights. Excellent breakfast with fresh cooked and great buffet. Staff charming and helpful from the start to the end. All of them. Front desk, waiting staff and chambermaids. Thank you for a great three days.

It was a pleasure! All the staff were fantastic and just couldn’t do enough for your personal well-being. And the absolute highlight of the place was the food, certainly worth a rosette or even more. Just delicious what the master of the pots and pans came up with! The room situation is a bit different: Most rooms do look a bit tired and could do with a revamp. Though one has to say that they were spotlessly clean. We felt well looked after and will certainly return when in the area!

My husband and I decided to book a weekend away and chose Howfield Manor because of its location and how pretty it looked in pictures. We weren't disappointed!

It's about a 10 minute drive into the town centre, the hotel itself is beautiful and the staff are friendly. We made a special request when booking and they made it happen which we are very grateful for.

The room was GORGEOUS and big, four poster bed, big bathroom, fireplace, sofa, desk etc. Couldn't have been better.

The breakfast was lovely - there's the option to have a hot breakfast plus cereals, pastries, yoghurt etc

Only thing I would say is that there could be more attention to detail when it comes to cleanliness. There were thick cobwebs in the lampshade and we found a huge web in the corner of the bed with a very comfortable looking spider (HUGE) that looked like it had been nestled there a while!

There's an onsite restaurant with a pretty terrace which looks lovely and we can't wait to go and enjoy it in the summer.

Overall thought it was excellent and we will be returning again and again.

A beautiful hotel with character and history. Our room was in the oldest part, spacious and clean. The food was excellent and the chef is clearly and expert. What really made the biggest impression was the fabulous and wonderful staff that could not be more helpful and interested in your stay.

stayed here for a two night break between Christmas and new year, and so glad we did!!
From the moment we arrived in reception we were made so welcome, after booking in we were shown to our room-a good size, clean and well presented. The en-suite was clean and had a variety of shower gel and shampoo etc, nice clean white towels. Tea and coffe making facilities, and a good size tv with free sat. Room was very warm and comfortable. Breakfast both mornings was freshly cooked with a good choice of full English to kippers or haddock and continental. Service and staff was excellent-we will definitely return in spring/summer to explore the grounds which looked very inviting(could not do this at the time due to inclement weather)
