Sheila's kitchen offers an extensive menu at very affordable rates. We had breakfast that was of an excellent standard, provided with quick and efficient service and can highly recommend a visit. We will certainly be going there again soon.

This morning we tried the scrambled egg with a salmon steak. Absolutely out of this world, This restaurant, formerly a Little Chef, but now run as a private enterprise by former manager, Sheila, is next door to the Travelodge, and my wife and I thoroughly recommend it. An added bonus is the proliferation of wildlife in the garden. Today we saw a jay, woodpecker, magpie, squirrel, and a host of smaller song birds. We visit regularly as it is so convenient, congenial and value for money

This is not posh food, it's not fancy, but it's tasty and served with a smile. Had pancakes with bacon and maple syrup which was a very nice breakfast. Great value if you're in the area.

A coach party of 35 stopped here for a break on the way to Canterbury. We only wanted tea and coffee, Sheila and her colleagues were welcoming, very efficient at serving us quickly with very good large mugs of beverages. The restaurant is large, pleasant, and in a pretty setting considering it is on a main road. I can't attest to the food but highly recommended as a stopping off place, and although it is on the 'wrong' side of the A2 if you are going towards Canterbury, it is easy to get to and to get back to the eastbound carriageway.

We booked into the Travelodge but we were not looking forward to eating in the Little Chef which we had used before. Thankfully the former Manager of the Little Chef, Sheila, had opened her own version called Sheila's Kitchen in the old Little Chef building.

The rump steak and the bottle of Merlot was fantastic and very reasonably priced. The meat was from a local farm and everything was fresh The deserts were gorgeous. Sheila's staff, Tracy and Jack were brilliant. They were friendly, took time to answer our questions, and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back.
