This is an excellent B & B. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We were there during the snow in early February and they did everything they could to make our stay pleasant. This included clearing our car of snow whilst we had our breakfast to save us the bother! They even offered to drop us to one of the local villages for our evening out! The rooms are extremely clean and spacious and very welcoming and warm on a cold winter evening. Thanks Fiona and partner I would highly recommend this b & b.

A lovely B&B. set just outside a beautiful village, that offers more than the average guest house. Breakfasts are plentiful and cooked to order with fresh produce supplied by the free range chickens and I would recommend you try the preserves. There are loveley views from the rear of the property. However the noise of the A28 at the front of the house was, in my view, quite noticeable. I appreciate this is out of Fiona's hands, and it is only now I realise how lightly I sleep. Rooms are individual, however we did not have the advertised bathrobes. Fiona is welcoming and has extensive knowledge of the area which she readily shares. There are plenty of walks in the area, much needed after breakfast. The local inns offer good food and if you like to live life on the edge then walk!!!! but do take a torch.

Room Tip: If you are able, book The School Room. Huge room, with excellent views to the lakes.

Thank you for your review. Breakfasts are always cooked to order so is always fresh and with our own hen`s producing eggs daily, they are eggs as bright as the sunshine shining.
I am sorry that our guest did hear traffic, however we do have double glazed windows and this really does depend on how much or no traffic you have where each individual person lives. The traffic does quiet at night, however you will hear some noise, whether it is traffic or the birds singing in the morning. We are on the main road, however we are set back from the road. I would say that most bed and breakfasts are on the road or how else would passing trade find them?
We do provide bathrobes however, if there is something missing from the room that you require, it is only a question away and I would be happy to rectify any concern someone has. It is a matter of guests communicating with Fiona. Hairdryers are also provided in all rooms they are usually in one of the bedside drawers.
Kindest regards
Fiona

We stayed for two nights in the Kingfisher room. Swam in the pool, visited the cute kittens and enjoyed our stay and breakfast very much. Look forward to visiting again when the School room is available. Jackie & Terry Patton

Room Tip: Perhaps just not enough bedside light to read by.

The room was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. There was a slight noise from the road but other than that it was a very enjoyable stay.

We spent only one night (unfortunately) in this B&B just outside Canterbury. It is located in a rural area about 10 minutes drive from the city centre. We had a very warm welcome and were shown to a beautiful room overlooking the countryside with a balcony outside. The freshly cooked breakfast on offer was extensive, including omelette if you wanted with eggs provided by their own chickens. We hope to have another opportunity to visit that neck of the woods.

Room Tip: We stayed in a stunning room called The School Room overlooking their grounds at the rear of the hou...
