“So pleased to have come across this great little hotel”
Reviewed 3 February 2014

We've just returned from a lovely weekend at The Lodge Inn. Very pleased with the quality of the rooms, availability of parking, cleanliness throughout, staff attitude, comfortable beds, views of the sea, breakfasts- quality and choice. We ate dinner here both nights too, lovely food although the first night I had salmon and crayfish with creamy pasta and there was no crayfish in it! But anyway, a minor point in an otherwise excellent stay. Would recommend for the price and would definitely return.

We stopped here prior to getting the bus to Cromer to start walking the Norfolk Coastal path. It was an excellent choice, nice clean and well equipped room, and the staff were more than happy for us to leave our car in the car park for a few days while we walked the coastal path. And its right by the bus stop as well!

Breakfast was excellent, including the scrambled eggs and salmon and the home made granola.

Good choice for those looking to walk the coastal path.

My family and I have eaten at the Lodge on a number of occasions, the last one being just after Christmas. What can I say it's a busy time we arrived without a booking and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. In a matter of minutes we had been found a table and made comfortable. As usual the staff were very pleasant, we ordered our lunches which arrvied in a timely manner and were delicious. What more can you ask, I wish we had somewhere to eat near where we live that is as good as The Lodge, but sadly we don't. Well done again, a great place to eat.

This is a review of the New Years Eve party. I gather it was a sell-out with 250 people attending, at £25 a head. Terrific atmosphere - our party of 7 (ages 11-70) had a great time. The hot buffet which was brought round to us was excellent and plentiful.

The Commitments-type group (guitar, bass, drums and 3 lovely female singers/saxophonists) were on great form, so the music had everybody dancing right the way through to 1.00am. I, as the only kilt wearer present, had the pleasure of being dragged up to sing The Proclaimers' 500 miles with the girls - before being mobbed by a bunch of female groupies!

And then bacon rolls and coffee on departure. Roll on next year!

This is the third time we have stayed here and yet again a great stay. Extremely dog friendly. You can sit in the bar with your dog and have a meal.
We stayed in the Coal Bunker and have stayed in all three outside and would recommend them to any one. All really spacious with excellent bathrooms.
Staff are really friendly and accommodating.
The food is good and filling. A good menu overall.

The location is great, a short walk from Old Hunstanton beach.

Would recommend it and have already booked to come again.

We booked the 3 night crimbo break, arriving christmas eve. (Myself, hubbie and our husky). The best dog friendly accommodation we have stayed in and we have stayed many places. We stayed in the coal bunker and thoroughly recommend it. Staff could not do enough for us and were cheerful, friendly and polite from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. (Even when working under immense pressure christmas day) They are an absolute credit to the venue (especially Brittany thank you!!) The food was outstanding at every meal: breakfast, afternoon tea, crimbo meal, evening meals.... Very sad to leave but we will return in the very near future. Big thank you to the whole team for making our crimbo a special one. See you very soon! Cheers guys!

The only thing we could fault in this whole place was not enough plug sockets in our room..the place is amazing..the food is amazing and the staff are exceptional.
Me and my wife stayed here as she had to work in the area but I would do the 2 hour drive to stay there again.
