Turned up without booking to find plenty of tables inside and out. Kids played outside on the play area in the sunshine. Food was good a little overpriced but it's the coast. Service was nice and polite

We have just spent two nights at The Lodge, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable, modern and clean and the staff were really attentive and friendly. Breakfast was great, and dinner was pretty good, too. I thoroughly recommend it.

Last week some friends and I decided to visit the Lodge for a catch-up meal, and to say that everyone enjoyed it would be an understatement. The menu offered a great selection of dishes with its Italian theme, while still providing some traditional coastal classics (Fish & Chips). The menu was also complimented by numerous specials. The staff were great, providing a smooth and pleasant service, and the courses arrived timely. Most importantly the atmosphere was vibrant, added to by the Champions League Final being shown in the bar. We highly recommend this place, and we will certainly visit again.

We were made to feel really welcome here, we were staying with our 2 teenagers for a short break. The bar area was welcoming with comfy sofas and newspapers. The rooms were beautifully decorated with a bath and shower in each. They were spotlessly clean. The food was excellent, we has a really good breakfast with a lovely choice of cooked food. Dinner in the evening was also excellent. In all, highly recommended.

Just had the most amazing week at one of the new cottages owned by the lodge Inn, helped by wall to wall sunshine. The cottages are just a couple of minutes away from the Hotel overlooking the golf course and the beach huts, and only a couple of minutes to the beach. The finish on these cottages is first class and everything , and more, you could possibly need is there. A lovely gesture is a welcome gift of cake and a bottle of wine , and dog treats if you are travelling with your four legged friend.I also went up to the Lodge for a drink and to eat a couple of times, the food, service and atmosphere were great on all occasions.I am in this industry myself, and therefore tend to be more critical and difficult to please !! but I really can't fault it they are a credit to the Hospitality business.

Room Tip: If possible try to get a cottage with a balcony .
