“5 Star Accommodation in a 5 Star Location”
Reviewed 17 February 2013 for a stay in February 2013

We have visited the Norfolk Broads many times and we have stayed at Heron Cottage twice.

The cottage itself is immaculate and Gail and Ken have thought of everything you could possibly need while on holiday. It really is like a home from home.

To make the most of your holiday I would recommend you hire the day boat as there is so much to do in this part of the Broads.

We will be returning to this wonderful cottage.

We were on holiday with my wife's 92 year old mother who has mobility problems and often has to use a wheelchair.
Accurate descriptions and 3D floor plans combined with Gail's very friendly and helpful welcome including making doubly sure that we were fully aware of the best wheelchair paths around the property made this holiday one we will not forget.
We all hope we can return soon !!

Horning butchers - really good.
Neatishead Radar Museum -well worth a visit and only about 3 miles from Heron Cottage.

“An excellent cottage, 5 star all the way.”
Reviewed 2 May 2012 for a stay in March 2012

Idylic location to explore the broads. Perfect misty morning views across the inlet down to the river, either from the balcony or the decking. Excellent location with all local ameneties within walking distance, including plenty of pubs and shops. The boat is a must. We used it every day to cruise up and down the river. Plenty of wildlife including a brief otter spot! I can't remember the last time I woke up in such peaceful silence.
