“service needs to improve a little.”
Reviewed 28 June 2014

We arrived here yesterday evening to a packed restaurant.First impressions were good,as we were all seated on time and taken through to a nicely decorated but large restaurant area. This place has a nice atmosphere about it but at times was very loud too.The food was of a decent standard but service at times was a little careless. We asked a waiter twice for 3 pint glasses only for him to return with half pint glasses saying they had ran out,odd i must admit.Another waiter "skimmed"cutlery across the table at us.The drinks service was better but again these chaps should have been a little more attentive. The starters were nice,i had the sheek kebab which seemed a little plain and needed a bit more spicing up and one of the group had the monkfish appetizer which although he received 2 little bits of fish he said it was excellent. The mains were of a very good standard,my Chicken murgh jalfrezi with mushroom rice was very good, being nicely spiced, not greasy and plentiful. My friends had the special which were all enjoyed thoroughly. The toilets were stunning and extremely clean too.If i could sum up here, good food, great atmosphere and decor but service needs to improve.Visited June 27th 2014

“Not what we hoped for.....”
Reviewed 4 May 2014

Tried this restaurant for the first time this weekend and found it to be very average. We thought it would be a different experience from what we are used to but felt it wasn't worth the trip. What was also a shame is the fact that our waiter and bar staff felt the need to slag off our local indian restaurant in Harrold which was both unfair and unprofessional. The lamb was tough, the chicken was dry and the portions were small. In the 'chefs curry' I only had one piece of fish. The service was good as was the atmosphere but we don't feel the need to go back.

“Great food!”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

We eat here all the the time. The food is lovely and the tastes are so different to "normal" Indian restaurants. The food is never greasy even when getting a take away and portion size is lovely.

The staff are lovely and are always very friendly even when you turn up and want a table on a busy night. The building is very stylish and very much the best looking restaurant in Olney (the bathroom wallpaper is lovely!).

“Must have been an off night”
Reviewed 31 March 2014

Judging by the reviews of this restaurant, I was looking forward to this visit, but it failed to live up to any expectations. It's clearly well appreciated by local people, and the staff were chatting away nicely with them, but for a lone diner, it was the food I came for. The best course was the poppadum and pickle tray which were nicely presented. The starter, onion bhaji, was of the pan-fried flat variety and very greasy, with no flavour. My main course - vindaloo - was severely underspiced and bland to the point that I seriously considered having to add salt. This would have been a first for me at an Indian restaurant. I'm rarely so neagtive and hope that this was a one off, but I'm not likely to return. A pity.

“Great Food! Great staff - just a shame it was a lite loud!”
Reviewed 23 February 2014 via mobile

There was a group of 5 of us, we booked on recommendation of a friends. The service was great, staff are chatty about food, the area, football - so pretty much anything. This building is an old converted pub so is a nice layout too. The food was pretty nice too with a very diverse selection with some great specials. It was served in a timely manner too which was nice. Unfortunately we had a big party group placed next to us so they where really quite loud so we could hardly hear one another but that's no fault of this place it just happens now and then. Other then that it was also very cheap. £110 for 5 of us - which I thought was very good for the items that we had. On that note I would highly recommended.
