This is one of those places where as soon as you set foot in it you know it is going to be great. It's set in a magical valley with rice paddies and little wooden houses on stilts, it is in an incredible setting, the atmosphere is peaceful, the rooms are done with taste and sophistication, but the winning detail is the staff. You have rarely seen such a collection of soft-spoken, attentive people. The fact that they speak very little English is a challenge, but I got around making little drawings to explain what I wanted. Went on a bicycle ride in the nearby villages and rarely have seen such beautiful landscape.
Wondeful reception, warm and attentive, larges smiles, excellent service and restaurant .Not to miss : the traiditional dancing night. A lot of talent and fun for everyone.
The visit of the nearby village was most interesting foot or bike was very revealing of the kindness of the people. Very typical/
The view on the rice fields is amazing and apeasing, the best hotel of the area.
We hope to go back in the near future
Compared to Hanoi with all its air pollution, city traffic, and with God know what they put in our food - Mai Chau villas is in a rural area with a fresher air, nicer people, peaceful environment, and cleaner food. I've had such a great time here with my family. The staffs of the house couldn't been more nice to us! They took us on a tour around the area. We met some local people and bought some fresh vegetables from the farmers that weren't even chemically sprayed!
And the food at the villa - simple yet scrumptious with every bite!
Visiting Vietnam after 10 years, this place has shown me how traditional & loving, simple Vietnam truly is. Thank you for making me love my motherland even more.
