Thank you, so much for your feedback, its much appreciated. And 100% agree on the gravy - made the traditional way using the stock from all the joints, only the best cuts of meat so the gravy has to be good - see you soon.

Visited here with my partner for Sunday lunch after it's recent reopening with new owners.
As we walked in it felt like it had just been empty for weeks and the new owners have come along and nothing has been updated, even the old plastic flowers were still there.
The whole place looks jaded, grimy and gloomy, poor lighting, no ambience, nothing feels really welcoming.
There was a sense of panic about the
Ace, poorly trained staff, dirty plates left on tables, dirty glasses littering the bar area, food not good either unfortunately, the beef had been slow cooked within an inch of its life, awful texture and certainly not a Sunday roast, veg was floating in water, roast potatoes greasy and barely warm.
It really needs a makeover and needs to be more inviting.......it's really poor and unfortunately I will not return unless it massively improves.

I chose to visit based on the pictures as it seemed like it would be the only place in the vicinity that had decent gastropub food, but things have obviously changed as although the pub was clean and service was fine, the food was just bog standard average. £9.50 for frozen scampi and completely tasteless skinny fries is just not good enough.
