“Excellent B&B”

Hollybank is excellent value accommodation. The house has the feel of a family home, beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, and run by a warm and welcoming owner. This was a very peaceful and comfortable stay.

We stayed here for two nights, we were in the wookey room it was nicely furnished and had a seperate toilet and shower room. Would highly recommend staying here our room was immaculate. Breakfast was one of the best we have ever had in a B&B. Cathy and John were welcoming hosts and very informative on where to visit locally, will definitely be coming back here.

My husband and I spent three wonderful days and nights in Hollybank - our first time in a B&B after using city centre hotels in Bristol when we visit our son. We got fed up with drunken parties falling around bedrooms at 2 am! What a difference - no more hotels for us. Our room was quiet, light and airy, our bed extremely comfortable, our hosts the nicest people you could hope to meet and the breakfasts are to die for; well worth the 450 mile round trip. The Georgian house itself is a real treat with gardens all around it and nooks and crannies to sit in. The owners have conserved the features of this house with a good eye for detail and comfort. Great location, great weekend - going back again soon and often.

My partner and I stayed at Hollybank B&B on the 22th of March , our room was spotless and nicely furnished , shower room tucked away in corner of bedroom very neatly done. The hosts were great and very friendly and helpful . The breakfast was really 10 out of 10 and all cooked to order. We ate at Marco Pierre Whites only a short drive away and glad we stayed at Hollybank as the Hilton was very noisy and full of parties . We are in the hospitality business over in Gozo ,Malta ourselves so I would highly recommend this B&B . Well done , good luck and may be see you in Gozo one day.

Room Tip: Just book here its great.

I travel a lot on business and try to avoid "chain" hotels favouring indepdents and owner operated establishments, it can be a bit of a lottery but sometimes the gamble is worth it. With this place I hit the jackpot, the building is lovely substantial house with generous sized rooms, high ceilings and interesting details. It has also been finished and furnished tastefully. My room was large, clean and well appointed. Breakfast was fantastic. The owners were also very friendly and helpful and more than happy to accommodate any requests I made. If you are considering booking this place i hope my review helps persuade you. I will definitely book again if I am in the area and wish the owners well with their business, it won't fail for lack of effort on their part.

Room Tip: I stayed in Mendip was a generously sized room.

Stayed for one night with 5 adults and two children. Rooms nicely decorated, clean and well presented. Owners very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful and they varied the breakfast to suit the children, ie scrambled egg.
Additional bed's were set up in two of the rooms for the children which were comfortable too.
Would definitely consider staying again.

Room Tip: The twin room had use of separate bath room which was well presented, but was accessed via three sta...

A very clean and comfortable B&B. lovely room, nicely decorated with tea and coffee making facilities. John & Cathy are wonderful hosts and there is nothing more we could have wanted. A lovely house kept immaculately clean, a breakfast fit for a king. Fresh fruit salad, cereals, fruit juice and a perfectly cooked full English. We would not hesitate to go back. The only problem I can foresee is it becoming so popular we won't get a room when we need it. This really is the way all B&B's should be run!
