Had a fantastic time with the elephants (but not long enough) and a fantastic time on the floating camp. Nothing can beat jumping straight into a refreshing (not cold) lake from the door of your own floating tent.

Not 5 star luxury but 7 star nature - the kyaking across the lake to see the gibbons was magical.

Great company and everything so cheap - to a captive market!

Fantastic - would go back again at a moments notice - but for a week rather than 3 days.

Room tip: wi-fi in communal areas at jungle camp - none at lake camp

Dear Jeremy and Katie,

Thank you so much for giving us a such an awesome review on your holidays and for your amazing rating. 5 stars on tripadvisor and 7 stars for nature is a very satisfying feedback and we highly appreciate that.

It is great to hear that both of you enjoyed your elephant experience and especially our Rainforest Camp. Jumping into the water in front of your tent at any time is lots of fun. For those who haven't done that yet should check out our 19th door of our ADVENTure Christmas Calendar on Dec 19th. Just follow Elephant Hills on Facebook or Instagram. You shouldn't miss it.

We would be really happy to welcoming once again here in Khao Sok in the near future.

Have a lovely pre-Christmas time!

Best regards from the tropical rain-forest of Southern Thailand,
Sophie and the entire Elephant Hills Team

We booked our two night stay before we departed London as part of our Kuoni tour, by recommendation by Amy Clark at the Bluewater store.
It was all that was advertised, the arrival was great, being collected from Phuket airport and taken by our driver to the camp. The tent was big and roomy with all amenities, the reception area all clean and tidy. Everyone of the staff were very helpful, attentive and polite.
Our Guide as Kong (or as he liked to be called King Kong), she was brilliant. Her knowledge and helpfulness was second to none. We visited the elephants went on a canoe trip, power boat ride, another canoe trip and then laze on a beach. Our last day was a walk through the jungle. We saw many animals, spiders, butterflies, snakes and more. Jungle diner with our guide, in a clam setting all cooked in front of us
We were transferred onto out next stop in Krabi, by minibus, again with little to no fuss.
The food was good and plentiful, the bar not expensive. Most guests retiring (like us) early and from all over the world
This is not to be missed, the highlight being washing & feeding the elephants. Its a must, on your tour and well worth the money.

So thank you Amy at Kuoni

And a very special Thank You to Kong, for making our stay at Elephant Hills one to remember

Just had an amazing couple of nights at Elephant Hills! Everything was so well organised and explained, and our lovely guide, Fon, looked after us for the whole stay and was so helpful and knowledgeable. Getting so close to the Ellies was incredible and it was great to see them looked after so well and not ridden as they are in so many camps in Thailand. The Rainforest Camp was stunning and kayaking on Lake Cheong trying to track down the elusive gibbons was an unforgettable experience. The 'tents' had every mod con and there was more food than we could cope with. If you want to see the real beauty of Thailand and not some featureless resort, be sure to go to Elephant Hills!

what a place! to start the grounds are breathtaking makes you feel you are in Jurassic Park, but you are in Thailand's rain forrest. The best way to go camping! the team is very attentive to the guests, and most off all the elephants are treated best in class! They put a lot of effort on sustainable tourism and it shows. Very impressed !

Room tip: can't go wrong with any tent!

Dear Mo N,

Thank you so much for giving us such a nice feedback and for your amazing rating here on tripadvisor.

We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your entire stay at both of our Elephant Hills Camps. Besides that we are a conservation center and home to 12 lovely pachyderms, I have to confirm that the Elephant Camp and its beautiful and unspoiled surrounding can now and then be compared with the scenery of Jurassic Park :-). Thank you so much for your lovely words with regards to sustainability. We really appreciate that, because we put a lot of efforts into our sustainable operations to protect and conserve both the nature and its wildlife. It is great to see that our guests as well show high awareness regarding this topic.

Thank you very much for visiting us in the middle of Southern Thailand's rain-forest.

We would give it 6 stars if we could. My wife and I with 4 friends had a fabulous visit to Elephant Hills and the Rain Forest Camp in late Nov 2015. We really enjoyed feeding and washing the elephants, the tents and food were great, and all the team were so welcoming, helpful, attentive, and enthusiastic. We enjoyed some Thai dancing performed by the local schoolchildren, and being awoken by a fabulous dawn chorus. We then spent 2 nights on the wonderful and unique floating tents, with trips to trek in the jungle where we heard gibbons and long tailed monkeys, saw great Hornbills, visited a huge cave with bats, spiders, and snakes. We had excursions on stable kayaks, and lots of swimming in the warm clear water. We also saw beautiful butterflies and an osprey, and we enjoyed the magical calling of the gibbons and the amazing sound of cicadas. Our stay was perfect, the Thai food delicious and plentiful, we were looked after by great staff, and we cannot wait to return. :-) Ross & Carol Haddow, Norfolk UK
