“Couldn't fault”

We visited here in July and what a treat. Had wanted to come for a while so glad we made the effort of the long journey. All the staff were knowledgabe and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Stoking the baby crocs was fun. I also found out the difference in Crocodiles and Alligators, but you will have to go to find out, im not going to spoil the fun.

“Great place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 August 2014

We didn't know what to expect when we arrived but we spent 3 very enjoyable hours there. We learned a lot about the different species of crocodiles from the very knowledgable and enthusiastic keeper who patiently answered all of our questions. Whenever we have seen crocodiles in wildlife parks or zoos they may as well be statues but here you see them moving around, being fed and responding to the keepers and the public. The 9 year old member of our party was fascinated and enjoyed holding an 11month old crocodile and stroking a python. This was a refreshing place to visit because the emphasis was more on conservation and it was not too commercialised

“A jolly good day out.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2014

My wife and I spent over five hours here with our daughter and nearly three year-old grandson. Yes we did visit each of the various crocodile pools/enclosures etc. several times and stop for coffee and lunch but why rush around? At present the zoo isn't overly large but given the opportunity to see crocs and alligators being fed and touch a baby croc and snake it's terrific for children. You can't fault the staff who are really good, clearly very enthusiastic, informative and happy to talk to visitors. The shop boasts a terrific selection of toy crocs etc with something for all budgets - if anything I thought prices were quite reasonable. I've seen exorbitant pricing elsewhere. There is a small playground/picnic area within the zoo which was fine on the sunny day that we visited, but perhaps there needs to be some thought given to providing somewhere for visitors on a rainy day.

The zoo is relatively new and clearly hopes to develop and expand. As they move in that direction this will be an even better attraction. at present it is well worth supporting to help them achieve their aims.

We live about an hours drive from the zoo and will certainly pay a return visit or two.

Many thanks for your feedback Martin! We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit to Crocodiles of the World. We feel incredibly lucky to have such a great team of keepers and zoo staff — all mad about crocodiles — and hopefully their enthusiasm comes across to our visitors! The Crocodiles of the World Foundation is a registered charity, with all proceeds going towards the on going care of the animals at the zoo and our conservation and scientific research projects. Thanks again, we hope to see you again sometime in the future!

“Unique Experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2014

This was a surprisingly interesting place with excellent staff and what appears to be a very good ethos. The entrance fee is reasonable at £8.95 per adult and £6.50 per child. It's not cheap but you get the feeling the money is well used. The facility has moved early this year to the current location so everything has that new and clean feeling. The zoo consists of two parts one which houses the smaller crco's and turtles etc and an area for the large croc's. So it is small in size but you could still easily spend a good 3 hours or so here. Particularly if you go to the feeding and some of the talks where you get to meet the animals. The staff are young, energetic, very knowledgeable and clearly interested in their jobs.

The Zoo is located at Brize Norton which is 30mins west of Oxford so it's a bit away from the main route but it close to the Cotswold Wildlife park and I would recommend dropping in if you are going to or returning from the Wildlife park. There is a small picnic area and cafe between the two main buildings. Nice to sit out and have lunch knowing there are about 50 croc's within 20 meters or so. The zoo is also a testament to one persons vision and perseverance, Shaun Foggett, who has put this experience together.
