“Tasty and attentive”
Reviewed 1 April 2014

Food here has always been delicious. The down side is that they compete with ready steady spice that has the cheap option of byo. The food in both restaurant are faultless so I tend to use the bay leaf for celebrations as it has a more grown up feel. Would highly recommend both. Just haven't given 5 stars as I reserve that for Michelin star cuisine.

“Faultless!”
Reviewed 18 March 2014 via mobile

Brought Mum here for an early Mother's Day treat.... We had a wonderful evening. Courteous, warm service, spotlessly clean environment and beautifully presented food. Coming from The Midlands I'm used to good curry, and from my perspective can say Enysham was up there with the best last night. Nicely spiced but not over (killed) flavoured, so the food could be really tasted and enjoyed. Price range and choice was excellent for the area - about £20 each For 2 courses and wine. We had a complimentary drink from the manager at the end of our celebrations, and felt v v well looked after. Give it a try!

“Great entertainment”
Reviewed 14 March 2014 via mobile

We went along to the Elvis show night with friends, Wednesday 12th March. Set meal & show £22.95

The waiters are were very polite & welcoming,
The meal consisted of a pre starter, a starter & a main course ...... Shame they catered heat wise to the minority who like it bland ! We had to ask for extra spices
Beer was cheap for a resturant which was a bonus ....
The guy doing the Elvis impersonation was brilliant, along with his backing singers.
All in all it was very good value

“Elvis show & set meal”

We went along to the Elvis show night with friends, Wednesday 12th March. Set meal & show £22.95
Turned out to be a packed house - obviously a popular event for the restaurant.
The waiters are were very polite & welcoming,
The meal consisted of a pre starter, a starter & a main course, all very well prepared & very nice.
Had to wait a while for the main course but to be expected with so many dining.
The guy doing the Elvis impersonation was brilliant, along with his backing singers.
All in all it was very good value, I know other local restaurants who charge more for the same package.

“Wouldnt go back”
Reviewed 5 December 2013

I went here for a recent special night which was a tribute act night with a Rod Stewart singer. First time visitor. The restaurant is nice, clean and good lighting and the welcome was nice.
The evening was a set menu and we were not told in advance nor at the table what food would be on offer and i though this was a bit odd. The set menu was 2 courses. The starter consisted of 4 deep fried items, Very small. an onion bhaji, 2 small chunks of chicken and a weird lamb thing in the shape of a small poo! It was a small portion and not that warm when it came to the table. I cant imagine their normal starters would be that small. The mains were delivered to the table and looked pretty unappeitsing. Everyone agreed it looked pretty poor. There was a chicken korma dish which was floating in grease, seriously about 5mm on top and another chicken curry item which looked less greasy. a lamb dish and them rice and vegetables. the amount of food given was not enough for all those eating at our table and the korma was curdled and very very bland. the food was not good at all and i would score the food poor- i would not have eaten it if i had not been so hungry! We were served sliced up nann bread half way through but again this was doughy and not freshly made, but bought in cheap ones like you get at a low end supermarket. seemed to me that they had bought in poor quality Indian food and of a standard even a ready meal could surpass! It was a shame as the meat seemed good quality, so i scrapped off the curdled sauce and had it with the rice, which was hard and cold :( what a shame as a few of our party had been before and raved about the food. Based on this meal i would never go back.
good points - the service was good, and friendly and attentive given the whole place was packed. the entertainment was good, and im not much of a Rod Stewart fan anyway!
Based on this visit and given its very local to us we wont go back in a hurry - seems they missed an opportunity with this type of evening by serving poor, cheap food. Maybe an off night, but i wouldn't risk it at £60 a couple!!
