Reviewed 15 July 2009

This is a motel style hotel with quite large comfortable rooms and would make a good overnight stay in this area of France.

For our taste, the dining experience is extremely pretentious. The dining room has a strangely "disney fairytale" decor with bits of sparkly netting and crystal grapes on the tables. The set menus are pricier than most hotels of this class and you have the feeling that this fancies itself as a temple of gastronomy, an impression reinforced by the price of the wines! We noticed that most people were sipping slowly at half-bottles which were served, like the food, with a lavish amount of ceremony. We avoided this by having a carafe of the house white!

The food is good, but we found the holy-ritual style service ridiculous.

We first sampled this hotel several years ago and had a similar experience, but decided to give it another go in case it had grown up. It hadn't and we won't give it a third chance!
