“Hidden gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 November 2010

Read about this in a guidebook and decided to try it. Vivine literally has you come into an extension off her kitchen where she serves up the fresh catch of the day, local style. Her home is located directly on the water on the East End and there is an outdoor seating area but the day we went there it was too windy to sit outside. She has the specials of the day on a blackboard and you walk up to her kitchen door and order. Then you take a seat at one of the tables and wait for your heavenly food to be delivered to the table. When I tell you this was an incredible meal I am not exagererating. If you are expecting fancy, fine dining, do not go, you will be disappointed.. But if you want to try local food prepared fresh to order in a very pleasant and friendly atmosphere, try to get to Vivine's kitchen at least once.

“Vivine's Kitchen was the highlight of Grand Cayman East End”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 June 2010

We stayed on the Northside of Grand Cayman in a lovely home - Gypsy. Our trip around the East End was highlighted by lunch at Vivine's Kitchen. She has lots of shade and great breezes off the ocean. Loved the chicken, fish, rice and beans, and mango juice. The East End feels truly Caymanian. The blowholes are a great treat on the way to the Vivine's.
