Tukka fulfills your idea of a dive bar where fascinating expats swap stories of adventure, revolution and treasure!
It is far out on the East End, which is a beautiful and less developed part of Cayman, so do plan on a leisurely drive - well worth the trip. Be sure to bring camera and snorkeling gear.
We came for lunch and spent an enjoyable time on the covered back porch with a beautiful ocean and reef view - they have complimentary binoculars to look at the wrecks on the reef!
Our food was fresh and good and pleasant service. We would definitely go back.
We were there for lunch, so we did not sample many of the choices, but the restaurant has a great reputation for dinner and Sunday brunch as well.

Dinner was very good, one of our favorite meals. The Walnut Date Pudding, with hot caramel sauce was nothing like we ever tasted. We almost made it back just to have it again!

We were in Cayman in November 2012 during Pirate Week and treated ourselves to Walkabout Wednesday. Absolutely loved it!! The restaurant offers pick up service, so we were able to enjoy our drinks and not worry about driving home. The chef and staff were friendly and professional.
The chance to try ( and love) new food - priceless. The appetizers included alligator and conch fritters, seafood, and beef, all which left us wanting more. We tried the kangaroo sausage and it was surprisingly delicious. Everything we ate was cooked perfectly and was beautifully presented. The prices were also very fair. I would definitely stop in for dinner again, if ever I visit Grand Cayman again.

This restaurant, owned by an Australian specialises in a fusion of Australian/caribbean food but is well renowned on the Island for it's Sunday Brunch special - and so it should be! This special is offered from 11am-3pm and believe me it will take you all that time to sample everything on offer!
From fruit to sushi, bbq to breakfast there is not very much that this gorgeous waterfront restaurant does not offer and it's all cooked to perfection! Brunch dining is on the raised terrace overlooking the lush Caribbean (there is indoor seating available for evening dining) and the food is laid out buffet style inside apart from Eggs Benedict which are cooked to order. You can peruse and choose at your leisure and there is so much to choose from! I heartily recommend this jewel of a restaurant and urge you to visit if you are in Cayman!
