Oyster Bay Beach Resort is a fantastic place to visit if you find yourself in Saint Marteen. To maximize your experience, make certain to ask for one of the renovated rooms, which features modernized bathrooms and kitchens, and new furniture including flat screen televisions. The staff are courteous and there are plenty of on-site activities to keep you fully entertained. In addition, 2 for 1 drinks are offered at the main bar near the pool everyday. The one potential drawback is that with the exception of the newer buildings, the units are contained in walk- up buildings, so keep that in mind if traveling with the elderly, ill, or disabled.

There is a car rental facility on premises so that you can visit all of the island (something i strongly encourage because although Saint Marteen is small, there is much to see and do) including the fabulous restaurants housed on the French side. There are also a few restaurants (the fabulous Big Fish among them) and a small store within walking distance from the resort. Just know that most of the smaller stores and restaurants (not Big Fish) only accept cash.

this resort is nice but not great. the pool is MUCH smaller than the pictures lead you to believe. the infinity restaurant is very good, beau beaus is awful. the beach is very small. the staff...well, that's where the ups and downs come in. the wait staff in both restaurants are EXCELLENT; extremely attentive and helpful and oh so friendly. really just wonderful. and they're working for tips so the friendlieness is understandable. the front desk staff, activities desk staff, housekeeping and maintenance staff - not so much. none of them want to step out of their box to do any more than their exact job requires. i had one person at the activites desk laugh at me and become very sarcastic when i asked for a map and directions to town. "really? it's two turns! you don't need directions!" unbelieveable! i'm a guest at this resort and you're laughing at me? i asked a maintneance person if he cold open the machine that dispenses the detergent in the laundry room because it took my money but i didn't get the detergent. he said "oh no. you have to wait for housekeeping." WAIT for housekeeping? i sat for the timeshare presentation and decided not purchase. soon as the salesperson heard me say no, his entire attitude changed toward me. he became so rude and dismissive. so, bottom line, the resort is ok, the staff really aren't. i won't be back.

Room Tip: ask for a room with an ocean view.

The property is very beautiful and located in one of the quieter sections of St Maarten. The rooms were spacious, well maintained, well decorated and equiped with a nice kitchen. Consequently, because of the kitchen, we did not visit the on site resturants but chose to enjoy intimate dinners in our very nice room. We however enjoy some time at the infinity bar overlooking the pool and found it to be a nice relaxing niche with friendly bar tenders that made us some masterful creations (my favorite was the margarita made with lime rum). The gym isn't massive but sufficient for vacationing. The staff are very kind and extremely helpful ( for example, patching me through to the US when I needed desparately to call my bank!). The star of the property is the infinity pool. Large, gorgeous, overlooking a dramatic ocean view with a jacuzzi under a romantic waterfall. Lots of resort facilitated activities for guests that want to participate. Helpfull hints: First, be aware that most of Philipsburg is closed on sundays, second, La Grand Marche grocery store is way overpriced, instead try US Market or one of the other grocers and save money. Have fun!

After trading in our 2BR timeshare week for a week at Oyster Bay in a 1BR, we weren't sure what we'd get once we got there. As soon as we drove into the resort we were so happy with our choice. The resort location is great, although a little out of the way. The amenities are great and the room was beautiful with enough room for 4 of us. The kitchen was easy to use for several meals during our stay and we loved the private balcony that sits over the water. The staff was excellent and we were really sad to leave. It is a great resort on a beautiful location.

We recently spent a week's stay at the Oyster Bay Resort and what a lovely week it was! We were in a two bedroom suite with a totally private balcony overlooking the ocean. The suite was large, comfortable and had a well equipped kitchen. Most of the resort suites and rooms have been recently renovated and they've done a lovely job.

The staff work hard to keep guests happy, from a friendly check in to on-site and off site activities. You can choose to attend pool parties, poker games, trips to beaches, casinos etc.

We loved the new addition of afternoon frozen lemonade samplers in the pool area!!!!

The resort is located on Dawn Beach (my favorite beach in St. Maarten) and you have a few really lovely restaurants within walking distance to the resort. I would highly recommend a visit to the Big Fish Restaurant, wonderful food, awesome service! Of course the hula hoop shooters added to my enjoyment!

St. Maarten is a small island and I would highly recommend you rent a car while staying at the Resort, it really makes life easier to just hop in the car and explore the islands many lovely beaches and towns.

I would definitely stay at Oyster Bay Resort again, the staff is great, the rooms are lovely and the beach is sublime.

Room Tip: try to book one of the newly renovated suites, and I would definitely choose a suite with an oceanvi...

I spend there 10 days and I think that the rooms are beautiful, my room was oceanview and it was clean and big enough even the color of the room was really nice.. The bed is so big and comfortable, I really got a good sleep there...

My room has kitchen and all the tools for cooking, everything was pretty much new brand.. Nice place!!!

The staff is really friendly and they helped me to make a surprise party for may husband, the enjoyed so much and the decorations in the room and the champaigne was awsome...

The instalations of the hotel are not that big, even I did not like the rest of the hotel but the main thing is the comfortable of the rooms...

They have access to the beach which is a good aspect...

Room Tip: The oceanview are really nice rooms.
