“SUBLIME stop-over on the way to st.barths !”

By far the best place to be before catching the ferry. After cramped flight, this magnificent place was a breath of fresh ocean air. Peaceful setting, beautiful views, plenty of room to spread out and secure place to store our luggage. Come hungry because the food is excellent. Truly fresh fish, my salad with mango and poached shrimp was just perfect. Top notch wine list too. We splurged so yes, it was expensive but well worth it. And talk about great service:after that superb lunch the manager Chris offered to give us a lift to the marina in his own car! We declined as it's just over the hill, an easy 5 minute walk, even with 3 suitcases. We appreciated the kind offer though, thanks for everything!

“An Unexpected Delight”
Reviewed 12 May 2014

My husband and I stumbled upon Le Pavillon on an exploratory walk of Oyster Pond. The restaurant was closed at the time, but the owners, Elaine and Chris, were there prepping for the dinner opening. They were immediately friendly and warm and helped us out with a car rental by introducing us to Winston (who has great deals on car rentals, by the way!). We went back to eat there the next night with some friends and the food was outstanding! Three of us had the Grilled Snapper Fillet and it was oh-so-good. It was my first time eating kale and it was delicious. We all loved our food and the service was excellent. Elaine and Chris are so friendly that my husband wanted to ask them to sit down and eat with us. I kid you not. We had a fabulous wine and for dessert, ice cream with the most wonderful chocolate sauce! Elaine even brought us tiny chocolate chip cookies at the end. This woman already knows the way to my heart! If you find yourself anywhere near Oyster Pond, give Le Pavillon a chance. The food and ambiance is worth every euro!

“An Expected Pleasure”
Reviewed 11 May 2014 via mobile

After reading the always reliable Tripadvisor reviews on Le Pavillon by the Sea we decided to to try this restaurant. The restaurant building itself is very unique and situated on the beach. The food is flavorful and expertly prepared. We checked the menu before we arrived at the restaurant and wanted the oysters but they were out of season. So as not to disappoint us Chef Elaine prepared a special crabmeat appetizer. As a main course I enjoyed the most Tender rack of lamb and mike ordered the special which was grouper. Save room for dessert and espresso : a deliciously delightful ending to a memorable evening . We have enjoyed many restaurants in St. Maarten but this definitely is at the top of our list. In fact we are returning today for a lovely Mother's Day lunch.

“Wonderful! Service, food, ambience were all outstanding”

Highly recommend this hidden gem in Oyster Pond, on the French side, very close to Dutch border. Beautiful views and attention to every detail imaginable. We found it by accident, but suggest readers seek it out. Quaint and quiet little neighborhood, too.

“Fantastic food, even better service”
Reviewed 30 April 2014

We came to Le Pavillon as a group of 30 people...not an easy task for a restaurant of any size to handle. However, with about a half-dozen wait staff (at what seemed to be 1-3 cooks), they were able to deliver an amazing dinner and experienced. Not only did they serve us fairly quickly given they had to cook for 30 people at once, the food was incredible. I had the lamb...which no exaggeration was one of the best rack of lamb I've had.

The place is owned by a cute french couple, and they were a pleasure to meet. You could tell that this is their true passion, in both the food and their service.

Make your trip to St. Martin more memorable...come here.
