“Creepy”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

Owner and head waiter spent much of the time chatting up young girls and asking them to come back after closing. Really creepy.

“Wonderful meal on the Grand Canal”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

Gabriele is such a wonderful host at his restaurante, Riva del Vin. He gave us very good recommendations on wine and food – it was all delicious! If we ever have the opportunity to visit Venice again, we will make it a point to eat at Riva del Vin.

“Right on the canals' edge...”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

The position is perhaps the sole positive attribute to this this restaurant but that is it! The pizza was not bad but then again where wouldn't you eat a decent pizza in Italy!!

The negatives...
1. Unbearable sewage stench at our table.
2. Rough and poor mannered service.
3. Filthy menus. Thorn, stained, creased and dirty.
4. Medium - Low quality food.
5. Reasonable price compared to Venice prices, but still low value for what you eat.

This place is aimed for mass tourists. They don't really care as long that they can get huge turnarounds at the tables. First they lure you to sit at a table, then they can't wait to kick you out of it and get others seated instead of you.

Unfortunately in Venice this is common practice...

“Average food and service”
Reviewed 19 July 2014 via mobile

This looke like a nice spot to eat on tue grand canal, but that was about it. Food was average at best and so was the service. For the prices I would not come back here.

“Lovely view”
Reviewed 6 July 2014 via mobile

Right beside grand canal - breathtaking view if Rialto bridge . You expect to pay tourist prices - so the 36 euro bill for 3 meals and 3 soft drinks was no surprise . The portions however were - very small lasagne portion . Having said that the food was good but we were still hungry when we left ( which wasn't long as they are keen to get you out as soon as you have finished) . So enjoy but be prepared to pay a lot if you are hungry
