“Good place to stay”
Reviewed 17 April 2014

I have stayed in B &Bs for about 15 years, and this is one of the best. They were friendly and helpful. We elected to have dinner as well as breakfast with them and glad we chose to do that. Food was very good.

Spent 3 lovely days with great hosts expat Brits Jan and Michael at lovely B&B in counrtyside Very nice rooms with HUGE ensuite bathrooms! Very private . We 2 couples had entire upstairs and sun terrace ,fridge, tea kettle etc Most helpful and breakfast good in their new kitchen and dont miss the 15E evening meal . Yes you are in Spain but it can be nice after a long day to be able to eat great food which you recognize and drink good wine , talk in English and go to bed!!!!!! Didnt get to use pool but nice! Interesting village and hosts took us to local bar so we could have Tapas(Jan speaks Spanish -we did not )Michael keeps the drinks and coversation flowing and Jan is great with touring directions to Seville and Granada Thanks from all of us!

Room Tip: Both rooms quiet

Stayed here for few nights with family following a local recommendation. Need to reiterate what fabulous hosts Jan and Mike are. They went the extra mile and more to ensure that we were well looked after and were brilliant in their approach to our son with special needs, Rooms were perfect with huge bathrooms and a private roof terrace. Pool was a delight in the mid-August heat, Drink flowed pretty liberally of an evening. Mike can tell anecdotes for Scotland. Probably explains why so many of the local donkeys are missing back legs. Will definitely return!

We stopped over at Casa Oasis on a drive south. Although not sure what to expect it was a delightful stop over. Jan and Mike are the most charming hosts and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Mike was a brilliant entertainer for the kids! We used both rooms upstairs to house the family with ease. As mentioned in other reviews the rooms are very pleasant with enormous bathrooms. It's also true, Jans paella is excellent! Many thanks to Jan and Mike for looking after us so well, hope to see you again.

We booked at Casa Oasis based on the recommendations we found on Trip Advisor, and we were delighted with our stay. The best hosts and the best food ever. Jan's paella is to die for! Jan and Mike live on the lower level of the building and couldn't have been more helpful, taking us to Cordoba, Granada, Priego and the Roman villa in Almedinilla. We will return to this wonderful Oasis and sit by the pool for a few more days next year.

Room Tip: Casa Oasis is built on the side of a hill, with two similarly-sized double rooms and large en suite...

A very friendly welcome awaits you at the Casa Oasis.
The bedrooms rooms are clean and comfortable, the bathrooms - huge.
The terrace overlooking the garden and pool is a lovely place to sit and drink a glass of wine in the evening, before climbing down the spiral staircase to the patio for an evening meal.

The location is excellent if you want somewhere central from where you can visit Granada, Cordoba, Alcala Le Real, Iznajar.... and a multitude of interesting mountain towns and villages.
The local town Almedinilla has some very interesting attractions and the local tourist guide was excellent escorting us between them. (Jan phoned up beforehand on our behalf and oiled the wheels).
There are plenty of walks within driving distance of Casa Oasis, the tourist office in Priego de Cordoba was very helpful in providing a map of the National Park and highlighting several walks to us.

Mike and Jan are fantastic hosts willing to share their house with you, whether just for breakfast, coffee or the full evening meal and drinks experience.
Be prepared to imbibe the 'odd drink or two'!

There are a couple of tapas bars in Silerias, about a twenty minute walk away and a couple of restaurants in Almedinilla. If you want anything more elaborate though - you will have to get in the car.

All in all a very pleasant holiday - we highly recommend Casa Oasis.
