I was lucky enough to stay here for two nights on business. Haut Gleon does not just make great wines, it is also an amazing place to have a peaceful and relaxing stay. And actually in France it is not easy to find a serious winery that also provides fantastic accommodation so in that respect Haut Gleon is pretty unique.
The gardens and vineyards are set in stunning scenery, with the small plots of vines interspersed within the garrigue terrain itself, which means you enjoy the fragrant aroma of wild herbs as you walk through the grounds. There is also a spectacular infinity style pool for guests to use.
The room itself was tastefully decorated in a modern style with a classic french twist and was very clean. My colleague had an even larger room which was more like a suite and was also very impressive.
The breakfast was very good and had a choice of meats and cheeses plus yogurts, fruit, cereals etc along with the usual french items such as fresh baguette and croissant.
Overall though it is often the people that make somewhere special, and Karine and her team looked after us very well indeed and made sure our stay was memorable.
I would certainly return here at the earliest opportunity and do not hesitate to recommend it.
