Description: Situated in the main plaza with a magnificent view of the archeological site this is a relaxed easy going (dogs welcomed, kids menu) restaurant. The menu celebrates Mexican flavors with international flair e.g Nopales (edible cacti) with hibiscus fand zuccini flower. Don't miss the seasonal "chiles en nogada". Decor persues to preserve it's old house setting creatively. Great music, attentive service. Los Placeres also has a gallery with art exhibitions.Opened from thursday to sunday. We offer catering service for weddings and special events.

Delicious food, the price is a little high, but still decent. We ordered the jamaica flower dobladas, they are delicious, you really need to try them, we had the beans soups, very good and for main courses we had a chicken breast stuffed with a very good sauce and a stuffed chile, all was great, i would go back any day

Malinalco seems to be open only at weekends. On a Thursday night all the restaurants close at 6 or 7 pm, so we had to eat early. Los Placeres is an attractive restaurant on the main square (Zocalo) and has an attentive and well trained staff. Unfortunately for them there was only one other couple eating in their large establishment.

We had a good salad and fresh trout -- expertly and imaginatively prepared. Although a bit more expensive than the restaurants we are used to in Mexico, it was still a good deal, given the quality.

We were here for lunch, the menu is great, original dishes all prepared with local fresh products. Very good quality and good sized portions.

We ordered the "trucha en camisa de coco" -trout filet in a cashew and coconut crust over a tangy tamarind sauce, very good. Also the "flor de Jamaica quesadillas" -hibiscus flower and cheese on corn tortilla- don't miss them!

For desert I would go to mallinalli (ice cream parlor right next door).

We went to have lunch yesterday. Busy, but mistakes and lack of quality are inexcusable. My son and I have food intoxication, the doctor said it was lack of hygiene when handling food. Also, they served other tables that arrived well over 30 minutes later before us, and instead of apologizing, we were scolded for complaining. Terrible experience

Today tried to get a table for 4 at lunch because of rating at tripadvisor. There was nobody at the entrance. The guy at the cashier was just to busy. Probably the owner. The place was full. I asked the owner, an spaniard guy if there was a waiting list. He called for a waiter-host who told me theres a 40 minute wait, no wait list, theres maybe 3 tables before you. Just have to wait...he told me. My wife is 5 months pregnant and there was no place to seat. I mean if you know that on long weekends is going to be crowded Why not putting a waiting list, a polite manager and host and some chairs for costumers. Its called "service" and "quality".

Buenas tardes
