Iguana Crossing is the only hotel of it's kind on the beach in Isabella - right next to the wildlife, the beach, the town, but relaxed and somewhat private atmosphere with very modern, comfortable facilities. Great service, rooms, bed, lounge areas, hot tub with a view, and great food. We had breakfast and dinner there and loved it.
The prices are the highest in the area, but not unreasonably higher than what it would cost to stay/eat in a typical western city - but at least double the price of other surrounding businesses.
We would definitely stay there again.

Dear harrisfosf
We are very proud to read your kind review, and to know that our work made your stay as confortable as you expected. We´ll keep on working hard to meet our future guests expectations as much as we did to meet yours, and try as well to improve in all of the services that you have so politely described.
Best regards from Isabela

This small, sleek B&B is the best place to stay on this sparsely populated island. The staff is attentive and friendly, the food is good, the views are amazing and it's a very short walk into the town. The beds were the best ones we slept in during our two week stay in South America. It's on the expensive side, aimed at professionals who are looking for a clean, modern place to stay in this primitive place. It's not for staving students. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay at a nice place on Isabela.

Nicely appointed hotel, comfortable beds/pillows. Great view of the beach across the street from the rooms in front. On the third floor there is a hot tub with views of the sunset. The reason it is called the Iguana Crossing is because the iguanas cross the road in front of the hotel to enter the water on the beach to feed (at low tide). Towels provided twice a day. Staff very attentive, although they still seemed to be learning...there were a couple of issues with entry into the room when it was occupied. On one occasion I was sleeping in the room and my travel partner had locked the door and left the premises, leaving the key at the desk. The staff entered the room without knocking. I should note that the door cannot be locked without using a key and it is a regular metal key. On another day the staff knocked repeatedly until the door was answered by my travel partner who has been in the shower and answered the door dripping wet since the knocking did not stop. I did not notice if there was a do not disturb sign as I normally do not need to use one, however here it is apparently a necessity. Would still highly recommend because of cleanliness, location and amenities.

Room Tip: Choose the rooms in the front for ocean views.

I went to Iguana crossing, expecting a rustic, isolated hotel; on the contrary this was a very nice place, with all amenities and quite fast Internet connection. The rooms are huge and the restaurant offers a creative menu.
The staff is very friendly and creates a home like environment. The tours are overprized but the guide is familiar with all relevant facts of Galapagos.
The views from the rooms and the common areas are striking and you can take long walks on an unpolluted beach without seen another person. This hotel is great for honeymoons.
The manager is a Colombian fellow (Juan Manuel), who is not only friendly but also always ready to accommodate each request and to improve service.
I will return to the hotel in a heart beat and will recommended to my friends, I think this is the best hotel in the island.
The weakest point is the breakfast that lacks variety, is quite plain, which is unacceptable in the tropics with the variety of fruits and the breakfast culinary tradition of Ecuador and the prize of the room, above the 300 dollars per night.

Dear Doctor:

We thank you deeply for your possitive comments about the hotel. It was great to have shared these days with you.
We´re currently and permanently working hard to improve our breakfast buffet (as well as all our other services) and provide much more variety so our guests truly experience the richness of equadorian products and gastronomy.
We expect you and your family, hopefully soon with us again.

Greetings from Isabela!

My husband and I went to Galapagos on a land base trip. We stayed 4 nights in Santa Cruz and 3 nights in Isabela island. We chose Iguana Crossing and had a magnificent experience there. Iguana Crossing was the first hotel that made us feel "at home". We spent most of the time in the public areas as if we were in our own living room.

- The staff was very friendly and helpful; they were even better than friends.

- The food was excellent. Everything was local and fresh.

- The organisation of the tours was outstanding.

- The location was great. You could see and hear the waves of the ocean from everywhere. The beach was beautiful. Many lava formations, marine iguanas, pelicans, light foot crabs, etc.

- The Rooms were also wonderful.

Isabela is a wonderful island. Iguana Crossing makes it even better.
