An easy 10 minute walk from the main area of town and beachfront. Very safe walk at night or early morning. Friendly staff and clean bedrooms. Hot water for the 2 days we were there, however wifi only worked outside at reception. Aircon worked very well!
Breakfast was very fresh and cooked as we walked into the breakfast area- scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, fruit salad, fresh bread, jam and butter, coffee and juice.
Great place to stay for a few nights, however I would not stay here again because of the distance from the centre of town and beach.

Stayed: July 2014

This place is amazing - Julio and his family make you feel at home, their prices are so incredibly fair MORE than worth it. He gives outstanding tours, along with delicious food and personal attention. A++++++!!!

This option was recommended by a good friend, so we decided to stay there. It was nice, clean, had a comfortable bed, enough space and a/c in general was really comfy and cost effective if you don't want to spend too much in a hotel. It's location is not the best, but as Puerto Villamil is small town a little walk will be good to know the place better.

Room Tip: Choose the rooms in the third floor, the ones located in the left side, they're quieter.

We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. It is a budget hotel but has everything you need. Hot water, clean rooms, big comfortable beds and wifi. The family who own and run the hotel are very friendly and made us feel welcome. The dad of the family is a national park guide so it's fine to book any trips with them. The prices are all the same across the little town. Recommended for the budget traveller looking for a friendly clean and comfortable hotel.

The rooms are just what you need after a long day of snorkeling and walking. We got a huge, very comfortable double sized bed, quiet a/c, hot water (somewhat shifting, but what do you expect). You might be lucky and have wifi reception in your room, but don't expect it.

Theres a common area up stairs with a comfortable sitting area and books. A smaller one outside down stairs and the huge kitchen/dining area. You are free to use the kitchen and it's quite well equipped.

The friendly family that owns the place will take good care of you. We booked day tours to both Los Tuneles ($70 per person) and Las Tintoreras ($30 pp) through them and were very satisfied with both!

They also have wetsuits and snorkeling gear for rent. All which looked quite new and good. Note that both tours mentioned above included snorkeling gear (not wetsuits).

The only downside might be the location, which means there is a few blocks going into the centre, but it takes you only maybe 7 minutes.

This place is great value and I would recommend it to anyone.
