“Don't sleep with the bugs!”
Reviewed 28 February 2014

With such a low price, I was a little weary however, I booked this place because of the reviews on Tripadvisor. We weren't in the room for 3 minutes when we had to kill a cockroach on the wall, about 10 ants on both our beds and there were some friendly spiders in the bathroom.

While the place was 'clean' and yes, the owner is super friendly, you'll be more than likely sleeping with some extra little friends in this place. Also - everything is basic. There are no amenities (like towels or soap).

We didn't stay. We ended up leaving and going to The Albemarle, which was much pricer but like hotel heaven compared to here.

The rooms are quite big and both room and bathroom were very clean. Although the bathrooms smelled a bit (we guess it came from the sewers).
You even have a kitchen in your room. The fridge is a neat thing to have in a low budget place!
The price is quite reasonable. Unfortunately the wifi didn't work.
The location is not in the city center but it is in walking distance.
So all in all probably the best place to stay at when you are on a tight budget. We would definitely recommend it.

We stayed in the old hostel and we had two rooms with private bathroom and kitchen to ourselves (we were 2 persons). We payed 15 Dollars per person.
The host and the woman working there are very friendly and helpful. Only minus point was that it took 3 days until they cleaned the room but we are sure that if we had asked them to clean it before they would have done it.
Free laundry service, wi-fi and water, which is was great!

Everything you need when you are travelling on Galapagos on budget. Low price, good rooms, close to everything, nice place to hang out.

Additionnally : free water, free laundry,

Some of the rooms include kitchens !

You can even borrow a barbecue to grill fish from the market - which is close to the hostel.

Un muy bueno y bonito lugar para quedarse.

The rooms are simple but enough for those on a budget. The host and owner works hard and is a genuine, pleasant guy. There were free oranges and bananas when I was there. He gives good advice on places to eat. There are two blocks. Wifi and kitchen are only in the old block. New block has larger rooms. A bit away from main road. Need to ask locals for directions b

Perfect place! It's basic but cheap ($10 for me in my own room with bathroom and kitchen). The wifi works great and the showers are hot! They were a great help with tours and I would recommend anyone who was on a budget to stay here. Short stroll to centre of town and great hammocks to chill out in.

"Posada del Caminante" is the best place to go if you want to have a nice hostel without spending money in Isabela! We were three in a room of 4 beds with private kitchen and private bathroom, it was almost like a small apartment for only 10 dollars per night ( if you don't reserve online it is cheaper ). The host of the hostel was really friendly with plenty of advices and free oranges! The little patio with hammacs outside is really nice for a rest at the end of the day! Perfect place to stay in Galapagos!
