The Chuparosa Inn lived up to every expectation we had based on reading the web page to the on line reviews. Luis and Nancy make it a personal mission to ensure every guest is welcome and are satisfied with their accommodations. I chose the Chuparosa Inn because my wife is not as motivated of a birdwatcher as I am so I needed to find a place she would like. After our initial three night reservation was completed, she suggested we stay one more day. I guess Luis, Nancy, and the Chupaorsa Inn passed the non-birder test. As for the birding, I got four "life birds" from the common patio within the first hour at the Inn. During our stay, we found Elegant Trogan, Elf Owl, and the four species of hummingbirds on the property, justifying our decision to book the Chuparosa Inn. Luis always had a suggestion for off-property birding locations when asked about specific species of interest which greatly added to my trip and life bird lists.
We stayed the first three nights in the Hummingbird Suite which was quiet and comfortable. We liked the Hummingbird Suite best because of the easy access to the patios/bird feeders. For our extra night, we had to move to the Trogan Room. This room is larger and we would recommend it for longer stays. Both rooms had excellent beds and the other furniture was comfortable but most of our time was spent outside on the patios when not hiking the numerous trails all just a few steps from our room.
The Chuparosa Inn is definitely on our list of places to go back to!
