“Waynes Bistro”
Reviewed 7 December 2013

On our way to visit a very ill friend in Plymouth Hospital we hit a pot hole and burst our front tyre just yards from Waynes Bistro. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. During our stay of over 2 hours they insisted on our staying in the warmth of the restaurant whilst waiting fro the RAC and subsequently the tyre firm.
We would like to thank everyone at Waynes Bistro for taking such good care of us.

Just stopping overnight on the way West. Arrived late and staff were very welcoming, taking us to the room and showing us around. Tea/coffee/biscuits in the room.
Comfy bed, room was compact but big enough, nice shower in the morning and then off for a full English breakfast which was included. Friendly, prompt service, food freshly cooked, plenty of it too. Will stay again, much better than a Travelodge or Premier Inn.

Room Tip: Double glazed windows but you might want a room towards the back as it's on the A303

My husband and I have just returned from a weekend break at Hawk House Hotel. We were seriously impressed with the standard of the room - an immaculate, spacious, well-appointed room with an extremely comfortable bed, en-suite shower, tv and tea making facilities.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and provided a superb breakfast, consisting of cereal, yoghurt, fruit juice and a full-English in the on-site bistro.
I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to the area as it is well-located, just off the A303.
Thank you to Wayne and Diane for giving us such a great break.

We have just returned from an overnight stay in Hawk House, the room we had was spotless and appeared to be newly decorated. It was a pleasure to stay there and we could not of asked for more. The breakfast was also excellent and the staff brilliant. We would most definitely return and highly recommend.

We stayed here for 1 night on Bank Holiday weekend on our way to Devon. The room was immaculate clean with a very good Wi-fi which is free and very fast. Tea, Coffee and Hot chocolate was provided with biscuits. TV on the wall. Lovely big shower unit with proper quality soft bath towels. The bed was comfortable but a bit small. Next door was where we had the best breakfast in a long time, nice and hot, which was freshly cooked, very busy. This place is on a main road and if you have the window open, then you can hear the noise from the road. we were woken up at 6.15am by a car coming in on the gravel ( I think this was more likely to be a member of staff.) The staff was very friendly. I will most definitely be going back here next time I am in the area. I do recommend this if you are looking for somewhere to stay, much cheaper to book through their own website.

From the moment we arrived until we left 4 days later we found everything perfect. Clean room with everyting we could possibly need. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The excellent breakfast was eaten next door in the bistro where we also ate each evening as the food and service was second to none. We will definately stay here again.
