Reaaly nice staff. Just waht you would expect from seeing the outside. Grounds were lovely. Shame the cafe is too small the coffee and food only average

Fascinating house, well worth a couple of hours visit to the house and a stop in the tea room! The gardens are lovely too (even to a non-gardener like myself) and you can either have a short stroll around the more formal gardens nearer the house or a longer stroll around the less formal gardens.

Went along with a group of 4 friends and spent a wonderful couple of hours exploring the house. Really liked the tudor portraits and the samplers. Had a cuppa and a ckae in the cafe and bought several plants in the shop. Well worth a visit. We will return to explore the grounds as it was raining when we visited.

Wonderful setting and very atmospheric. The size of the house means that it is very doable in a short half day and the surrounding villages and drive to are lovely.
