My family and I spent one week in this hotel in August 2014. We are so impressed with it that I just signed up to tripadvisor just to write this comment.

To summarise: Rooms are very nice and very clean. The food is excellent. Staff are genuinely very helpful, always smiling. Management will do whatever they can to accommodate any request.

The hotel is rated as 4-star, but it is on par with many 5-star hotels I stayed in the past.

Drawbacks? Just one ... getting to a "managed" beach (ie with umbrellas and sunbeds) is a 15min walk, which is fine for young people, but not ideal if you have a family or for elderly people. If you have your own umbrella etc then you can get to a beach in 5ish mins. I recommend hiring a car to explore this magnificent island's beaches, in which case this is no longer a problem.

A big thank you to all the people of the hotel for making our stay such a pleasurable experience.

All in all... excellent!

We took a room with private swimming pool with a large terrace and sea view. We enjoyed our stay in that hotel. It is well located with a good see view as the hotel is around 50 m above sea level. The hotel has designed its public rooms (play room, bibliotheca, and salons) with very good taste and variety. Dinner is served on buffet.

Upon arrival at the hotel we were given a warm welcome by staff, who showed us around the hotel and gave us a complimentary drink at the pool bar. We had a sea view room, which was lovely. Clean, tidy and modern.
The communal areas are very clean and quiet. There were always spaces to get a lounger by the pool. Some people reserved them with a towel, but there was really no need to. I particularly like the library room which was relaxing and overlooked the sea. Also the outdoor shaded area which had loungers and sofas with big cushions- perfect for a quiet read or snooze.
The location was perfect for us, there were a few places to eat and drink locally but also the bus to the main town was regular and cost 1.60 each way. This service ran from 7.30am until midnight.
The local beach was very nice. Not at all busy. Clean with clear water. We hired a jet ski here for a reasonable price which was great fun.
The only reason I haven't given this hotel 5 stars is that the road that runs outside the hotel is busy and noisy. You have to be careful when crossing outside the hotel. You can hear the road into the early hours, and indeed on some nights we could hear live music from a nearby hotel. Luckily I had ear plugs with me so it didn't affect my sleep. I do appreciate that this is out of the hotels control.
Overall, a fantastic hotel which I would recommend.

We recently got married in Skiathos 23/06/14 and stayed at the atrium for two weeks and had our reception in the taverna behind the pool. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left Elektra and her staff were polite, friendly, helpful and attentive and made our time at the atrium a real pleasure and our wedding reception something we will remember forever. When we arrived we were given a tour of the hotel and a complimentary drink (non alcoholic) and had our room upgraded to one with an infinity pool outside our balcony. This was shared with the room next door to us but it didn't matter. it was a lovely touch, the views were stunning and we got better acquainted with our neighbours. (The girl next door had been coming to the atrium with her parents for 15 years which should speak volumes about this place).

Elektras attention to detail with the wedding reception was a great help and was always available if we had any questions. She listened to our suggestions and offered advice too. Our reception was a reflection of the atrium, rustic, classy and fun( Apologies for jumping in the pool afterwards)

I thought id try and be impartial so have tried to find something to moan about but there really isn't anything. I've read a few reviews where people moaned about the steps. They are right , there are a lot of steps but to me I think these people are the type who would find something to moan about wherever they went. There are lifts so its not a massive issue and the views when you get up to the pool area are breath taking and its a fantastic setting to relax or have dinner. During our stay we had breakfast everyday and dinner twice (once on the wedding day). The food is of very good quality and there is plenty of choice. £20 euros for a three course all you can eat meal is fantastic. Its a buffet style but its not your traditional cheese & pineapple on a stick! the bbq was highlight. Breakfast was also very good. All fresh again in a buffet style. I also read some reviews where people moaned about the choice of breakfast but i'm not sure what else you can have for breakfast . there was a variety of eggs, bacon , tomatoes, omelettes, cereals , fresh fruit, yogurt & honey, continental breakfast.

My only regret is that I didn't write this review sooner. To summarise, the atrium is a beautiful hotel with beautiful staff in a beautiful location. Its close to the bus stop, beach, tavernas and shops so is a perfect base for your holiday. I would recommend it to everyone! Hopefully we will return one day.

Thanks for everything!!

Just returned from two weeks holiday . Hotel lovely , rustic in a luxurious quirky way . All staff pleasant and attentive . Lovely pool area , short walk to beach . Lovely breakfast with lots of choice and no rubber sausages which seem to crop up in most Greek hotels . A short walk to some lovely tavernas . This year we had a car so were able to venture to the lovely kappanitsa beach , which I think would be a challenge by bus . I have to say probably the nicest beach I've been to in a long time , lots of water sports and good quality taverna but fairly small cove style beach so not noisy or over crowded

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking the sea, however there is a road that runs past the hotel , as we were awa...

We have just returned from a two week holiday at this fabulous hotel, the views are breathtakingly beautiful we have visited Skiathos before and we will return to this hotel without a doubt. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone at this hotel from the front desk to lunchtime at the roof top taverna ( the Dorado fish is a must). Every member of staff are friendly helpful and polite. A varied choice at breakfast from cold meats, cheeses, fresh bread, cereals cakes homemade marmalades, something for everyone.
We had a Junior suite with a private pool ( good size too) and it was well worth the money the pool was cleaned out every morning 7.30/8am, clean pool towels daily, maid service everyday we had fruit on arrival with a drink for wine for us and orange for our little one clean fluffy robes daily those tiny details that mean a lot. The views from the room were amazing. there is a nice beach not too far away Agia Paraskevi and a great local Taverna Boubanikia. however this is a beautiful Island so hire a car and go exploring beaches Maratha and Mystic are beautiful. Thank you see you again.

Room Tip: Room with a pool great choice for families or any of the rooms on level 4 have a view

We stayed at the Atrium the first week in August 2014 with our two children (3,5) we had a great holiday. The hotel was great, we really enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly staff who made a great fuss of the children. We had a family room which was ok, a little on the small side, we struggled a bit with space as it very long and think could have. A better layout. Also it stated air con but it wasn't really adequate. The room temperature never dropped it just blows a very weak stream of cold air, this was a let down as we never book anywhere with no air con. Also wifi was pretty poor unless upstairs near reception. We were half board and the breakfast was good, a slight variation each day, we all loved the fresh fruit. The buffet evening meals were ok, very tasty and a variety each night but after a few days it got a little same same. The beach down the hill is gorgeous, very calm and great for children, a quiet beach with a little shop to buy essentials run by locals. The road is a little busy to walk down but worth it. Overall a very lovely week away.
