Stayed again for a week on 25th july. Some guest have in the past mentioned the shortage of beds. Since last year they have moved the Ski School on the beach and created extra beds and when we were about to leave the hotel was adding additional beds on the grassed area. I had no problems getting a bed and I get up late. The breakfast (When I made it) caters for everyones needs. The drinks are reasonably priced with a bottle of house white at 12.50 euros. Try getting a bottle in the uk in a five star for £10. The beach is lovely and you can hire your own boat for about 70 euros and travel down the coats or across to the beach island opposite. The only downside as Grey S says in a earlier article was the shower. I did report on day one that a handle was loose and the hotel came up and sorted it. However the shower head did leak and by the end of the wek was squirting all over the place. I let reception know on my way home so I hope its now sorted.
2.50 euros gets you a water taxi straight into the old harbour so eating out is easy. Eat at the Olive land which is a lovely restaurant up in the hills with great views, book it through reception and the restaurant will pick up up and drop you back off.

Room Tip: pay the extra for the modern block

We have been to the beautiful Greek Island of Skiathos over five times and stayed in various hotels. The Kassandra Bay is the best without a doubt.

The hotel is luxurious and well kept. We had a Suite with a sea view and the room and view were fantastic. The staff are attentive and professional and the private beach and loungers well kept.

The water taxi which stops on the beach Jetty to take you into Skiathos Town is an added bonus and a lovely way to head out for an evening.

We will be back to Skiathos many times again I am sure and going forward will be booking this hotel.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a Suite. They are in a separate smaller block with amazing rooms and views.

We had another fabulous week in Skiathos and have booked for 11 nights next year at the Kassandra Bay .
We haven't had an evening Meal at the Kassandra because the attraction for us is exploring the Old Town at night and we still haven't discovered all the tiny streets full of hidden away restaurants . We feel the Kassandra Bay beach is the best on the island and the staff make staying around the beach or pool a fantastic holiday experience .
This year they had a personal trainer that helped you shake off the holiday excesses and she also ran other classes in the pool all free .
We wished we had requested a room with a view, last year sitting on the balcony early evening watching the boats on the see was very pleasant . We missed that this year .
The hotel is beautifully clean , the staff are fantastic , the management are clearly watching to make sure everything works like clock work.
Can't wait to go back next year

First, let me say that we paid extra and had a room with private pool. Definitely worth it because these rooms are well away from any hubbub.............also there's no need to reserve sun-beds because they're your's, and just the other side of your sliding doors (where there's a spectacular sea view). Nice well-equipped private patios too .
If you do venture on to the beach here, there isn't really very much to it. The excellent pool area is probably a better bet
Our room was large, and facilities were modern and spotless. There's a fridge too, so you can get a few provisions in (two local supermarket's are about 20 minutes walk). We found that we could only fill the bath by using the shower though.......and the plug wasn't watertight, so it made for a sort of interesting makeshift jaccuzzi ! Floors were slippery when wet so be careful! - We asked for a rubber bathmat so they actually purchased one for us which was a nice touch.
The reception staff are very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to get us an English newspaper! Restaurant staff were excellent too. The room staff are obviously excellent
We thought the buffet breakfast was pretty good - particularly as it was served until a very civilised 11am ! There's plenty of choice for the evening meal and there was plenty of variety. The soups really were some of the best we've ever tasted - but just not quite hot enough usually which was a pity.
The hotel is located about a mile and a half from the town waterfront. We went in May when the useful water taxi service had not yet started, so we used normal taxi's to the town which charged 9 euro's each way. We hired a Suzuki Jeep for 3 days from one of the many firms along the waterfront (definitely don't hire a saloon car - many of the roads aren't up to it) Some hire companies are unbelievably cheap, so check out prices before you hire. There is really only one main road on Skiathos. All the rest are just sandy tracks, but the island is very small so you won't get lost.
We found that English tourists are made particularly welcome. Everyone gives great service. Skiathos is a tranquil place right now, although there are plans to make it a bit more lively - so see it now! I suspect that you wouldn't do better than staying at the Kassandra Bay Resort Hotel if you do. We'd certainly recommend it.

We stayed at this Hotel from 23rd May 2014 for one week.

The delay in writing this review is that our new granddaughter arrived shortly after our return so we've been very busy.

We booked a sea view room 422 and for us it was 'perfect' so perfect that we've already booked to go back next year June 5th and will request this room again if it's available and the Hotel can accommodate us.

The Hotel is lovely and peaceful with beautiful views.

We spent our days on the beautiful beach which had lovely clean comfortable sun beds.

There were plenty of beds around the two pools. The Hotel supply beach towels.

All in all we could not fault a thing with this Hotel.

On our last day I treat myself to a spa massage which was the best massage I've ever had !! -(and I've had a lot from different country's). This will definitely be on my 'to - do' list next year .

We are looking forward to going back to this Hotel next year which will be the first time we have ever returned to the same place.

Hotel was recommended by a colleague who has a house on the island advising this is the best hotel on Skiathos. I cannot confirm this having only stayed at one but do recommend the KBR. We had two rooms a interconnecting family room and a Maisonette both with sea views. The rooms were both clean and tidy and suited us both. The aircon in the interconnecting rooms is first class, quiet and cool, albeit the first room where our two children slept a little dark even with the lights on. We had half board and ate at the restaurant each night with the exception of the last and went into town. Highly recommend agnadio overlooking the port and airport - great food and again recommended by a local. Food at the restaurant was ok a good breakfast buffet and the buffet in the evening was ok but sometimes got plagued by wasps. The lunch menu was affordable and the hotel does not rip you off on alcohol prices. The waiters are over worked but all the hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. I would stay here again and do recommend this hotel. The beach is right on top of the hotel and a stroll - ok it may not be the best beach but the sea is clean and warm. One thing the hotel should consider is starting a car park valet. If you travel by car it can be stressful as the car park is very small.

I gave a 3 rating for value for money given the price of our rooms for 1 week and given the hotel rates itself as 5 star, but when I rang down to reception to advise of some laundry we were told to take the laundry down to reception! This is not 5 star service, however if you have been to Greece before you will realise this is 5 star hotel for Greece. The owners could make a few suitable changes to improve the level of service given the excellent location and quality of the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms over the reception that way you have the best sea views and not directly near the...

Dear ncmanch,

thank you very much for taking time to provide your feedback on this platform.

I would like to inform you on the topic wasps that we have taken all the necessary measures . Unfortunately, it's not possible to eliminate them as this is a natural process which cannot be controlled completely.
Our parking lot is very large. A section is in front of the Reception , the larger parking area is located directly at the entrance to our hotel grounds on top of the street.
You are absolutely right to expect a first class service from us. I am sorry that you have had a bad experience with our Front Desk . I assume that it has been a misunderstanding.
Of course, an employee from housekeeping will collect AND deliver your laundry directly from/in your room . Unfortunately I cannot explain why you have received this misinformation. I'm sorry for the inconvenience !

I thank you again for your honest words and hope to welcome again at KBR!

Kind regards from Greece,

Angeliki Thanu

We stayed here for one week at the beginning of July2014. The transfer time was really quick and the reception staff were friendly, and couldn't have been more friendly. We were on a bed and breakfast basis, which we were really pleased about as the buffet dinners didn't look up to much and we would have missed some of the glorious restaurants the restaurants locally. The breakfast menu was quite reasonable, but there weren't really enough staff on occasions, and it was a bit of a bun fight at times. The biggest let down in the hotel was that there were too many of the waiters and waitresses who were a little surly, and didn't know the true meaning of service. This is by no means a blanket criticism, as some of the staff were consistently polite and friendly. The reception staff are absolved from any criticism. We highly recommend getting out for dinner, The Windmill's views are to die for. The Olive Land will come and pick you up and bring you back free of charge, and the views again are superb. The taxi boat from the beach into town was a lovely way to get into the heart of Skiathos town.

Room Tip: get a sea view room set a little bit further back from the restaurant, quieter.
