Spent this past May bank holiday weekend at Hay Meadow Farm. Received a very warm welcome from Jane, Duncan and little Rubyn. The accommodation is, without a doubt, the best B&B we've ever stayed in. From the time we arrived on Friday afternoon, until leaving Monday morning, our stay was very relaxing and extremely comfortable. The beds are great....the showers are powerful and hot....and the food is superb. Our hosts had clearly invested a lot of thought, money, and time creating this piece of Devonshire paradise. Thank you for lovely weekend break, we will be returning!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Orchid room, but all 4 rooms are excellent.

We've just returned from a brilliant three night break at Hay Meadow Farm. It is everything that everyone is saying and more. The idyllic location, the superb accommodation, the wonderful food and the refreshingly relaxed attitude of the charming hosts Duncan & Jane all go to make for the Perfect Blend of all that you could wish in a true Home from Home. They really do go out of their way to ensure that your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as it could possibly be. Not only are the breakfasts the most varied we have ever come across and delicious, but the portions are huge, with everything sourced organically and locally, if not produced by themselves. I really would recommend you have Dinner there too, as Duncan's cooking is Fantastic and again, the portions are huge and tremendous value and again all sourced locally, if not grown on site. Hay Meadow Farm has got it all, Character, Location, Comfort, Wonderful Food and Delightful Very Hard Working Owners that treat you as Friends rather than Guests. Its the sort of place you can't wait to get back to, and we will be, very soon.

Room Tip: They're all lovely

My partner and myself have just returned from a absolutely amazing weekend at this beautiful cottage .When we arrived on the Friday evening we were greeted by the loveliest couple you could wish to meet Duncan and his wife Jane who made us feel at home instantly we were shown to our room the clover room and were delighted at how stunning it was with its cosy wood burner huge luxurious bed wood beams everything anyone could want on a relaxing break the ensuite was just as impressive with a lovely Jacuzzi bath and power shower we were supplied with fluffy white towels and flannels and even had bubble bath and shampoo set out for our use. After looking at our room we were served tea and scones with cream and jam and sat in the dining room in front of the log burner to relax. That night we ate out as you need to order your meal by 12 oclock so we made sure we ordered for the following evening.Saturday morning we sat down to a delicious breakfast with fresh coffee we were so full afterwards we only needed a snack before dinner that evening and the dinner we sat down to was superb I had the steak that was served with homemade chips there was mushrooms tomatoes and peas I have never had such a good steak it was mouth watering as was everything on my plate my girlfriend had duck with wild rice and fresh veg she was just as impressed. This is by far the best place we have ever stayed at with the friendliest most welcoming people you could ever wish to meet we will definitely be booking again soon.

We were brought a weekend away at hay meadow farm as a gift, and it turned out AMAZING! We stayed in the daisy room, and it had everything we needed! Duncan and Jane we're the loveliest people we've ever met, and anything we needed was never a problem to get! The bed was the most comfortable bed we've ever slept it and the shower was really amazing! Really couldn't fault it! We ate both nights there and we couldn't believe the quality of the food, and the value for money! Breakfast was amazing too, so much choice, and so well cooked! We believe this has to be the best b&b out there, and certainly the best we've stayed in! We have recommended to all our family and friends, and fingers crossed we will be back soon!

We have just returned from a long weekend spent at the idyllic Hay Meadow Farm. We booked last minute having scoured the internet for somewhere peaceful and comfortable to stay. We saw the photos and knew that it was the place for us! Jane and Duncan were first class hosts - nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the Buttercup room, it was an excellent size and of the highest standard. The farmhouse itself is bursting with quality, with exceptionally crafted oak furniture and fittings.
We enjoyed two evenings of well cooked food, just about manageable after the fabulous breakfast!
We wouldn't hesitate to visit again, it really was very good value and a lovely experience.
