It was my girlfriends birthday on Good Friday, so we decided to stop off for a night cap in Holsworthy on the way to an Easter weekend in Cornwall. It was quite a distance from where we were travelling from, so the Hay Meadow Farm seemed ideal. Duncan helped me plan the whole evening, from pre-arranged chocolates and flowers in the room we were staying in (so cosy and charming), to a superb home-cooked meal (the steak and accompanying chips, salad, mushrooms, beef tomatoes, etc are serious in size and in taste!), followed by a surprise birthday cake.

A humble host and beautiful setting. It was one of our more memorable B&B experiences ever. Highly recommend.

Room Tip: Book in advance for a choice of room.

We stayed at this lovely restored thatched cottage for 3 lovely nights. A peaceful location. The breakfasts were the best we have had while travelling in the south west of England, these kept us going all day.
A recommended spot to relax and enjoy.

My family and I have just returned from an Easter break to Hay Meadow Farm. I cannot emphasise how wonderful this B & B is and how welcoming and friendly Duncan, Jane and their team are. They cannot do enough for you. Again the room, cleanliness, breakfast was to its usual high standard. What a treat awaited us on Easter Sunday when we went to sit at our table for breakfast to find Easter eggs on our place mats. We will return for the 4th, 5th, 6th time etc.
Thank you Duncan and Jane - you will be seeing us again.

Room Tip: For couples it's got to be the Clover room.

Beautiful cottage in quiet setting. Duncan and family are ideal hosts, we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Service was first class and the food was excellent and in large quantities.the cottage is stunning, and the rooms extremely comfortable and of high standard. Can't wait to go back, as soon as possible .

We have just returned from an Easter break at Hay Meadow Farm. We had a fantastic stay with very tasty organic food and drinks.. The room in the thatched house was beautiful, comfortable and quaint, the real roaring fires and tea and coffee offered made for a home from home feel. It's central for visiting local coastal towns, although hard to find when returning at night. We will definitely recommend to family and friends. Thank you Duncan and family for your care and attention.
