“Beautiful cottage, stunning setting, great location and friendly owners”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

To anyone thinking of renting a cottage in North Devon I cannot recommend Verbena cottage enough. My partner and I very recently stayed there for a week and were blown away with the beauty of the setting, the comfort of the cottage, and the friedliness of the owners John and Anne. Although we had complete privacy at all times, it was helpful to have them nearby. We had a fantastic week exploring the unrivalled beauty of the surrounding area and it was perfectly located to spend days on the beach at Bude, Woolacombe, Sandymouth etc.. as well as go walking on Dartmoor. The grounds are like a private oasis of wildlife and nature and to top it all off there is an amazing lake with a rowing boat to float around in at your leisure. John and Anne have clearly put a lot of effort in making this a superb holiday let and have succeeded in creating a tranquil retreat in nature. We will certainly be going back again, as it would be equally as charming at any time of the year.
