“fantastic location and experience”
Reviewed 23 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

From the first communication Jenny was very helpful and efficient, the directions and even standing in the lane to show us the way.
The hut was stunning and definitely lived up to the photos. Everything that was needed was in the hut, very well thought out.
We enjoyed a great meal at the Clovelly Inn. The breakfast provided was very tasty and more than enough for two.
The location was perfect, nicely tucked away.
We had a very enjoyable break, thank you.

“Amazing hut, beautiful location. Not to be missed!”
Reviewed 15 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

If you enjoy shepherds huts/camping pods in country locations then you'll love this place.

The location is great - 10 minute drive from the A30 but far enough away to be in a truly rural place. Plenty of wildlife around; expect to see deer, hares, foxes etc. The hut backs directly onto a foresty area with a path leading into it - we found deer only 50 metres or so along here one night! Also a great place for stargazing if you get a clear night.

There is a good log burner in the cabin, complimentary firewood. The BBQ and decking facilties are a nice touch too.

If you like walking then it's worth having a wonder along the route suggested in the hut information - be sure to take a good torch if you go in the evening.

Jenny & Nick were great hosts - really friendly & helpful but not intrusive at all.

“A truly beautiful gem in the middle of the Devon countryside”

The cabin is incredibly well fitted out, decorated immaculately and is just perfect. Despite being close to the hosts own house, the privacy and quiet is unquestionable, and the breakfast being provided for you to cook a lovely touch to make this your very own little retreat. As for the host Jenny, she was very warm and welcoming, very accommodations about our late arrival and went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect for us (including starting the log burner early so we had somewhere warm when we arrived). Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something a little different.

We had an amazing weekend stay - it was so pretty and everything was provided for you.
The hosts were wonderful - I can't speak highly enough of them so if you want something quiet to escape from the rat race, the title says it all.

“Romantic & peaceful hideaway in Devon.”
Reviewed 25 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

From the moment we arrived we knew that we we're somewhere special.
The Shepards hut has been built by the owner to a very high standard - a joy to stay in,and very cosy when we lit the woodburner.
Location is breathtaking - calm, & peaceful .
Recommend either a dusk or dawn walk to watch the deer.
Oh,and did i mention the "breakfast" goodies - my husband is still talking about the bacon !!
Can't wait to be there again.
