Rosebud Country Inn

Nice little inn set in a tiny little Alberta Hamlet. We stayed here as part of a theatre package to see a play at the Rosebud Theatre. I was a bit confused on the description of the packages on the website. Where the website stays "King/Deluxe" this does not mean a deluxe King room but rather a King room or a deluxe room (but not both). Some confusion on arrival and some disappointment - but water under the bridge now.

The Inn has a lot of little things that are nice - they brought us morning wake-up coffe to our room at a time we had asked for, sheet run down service with little chocolates on your pillow, etc.

There are no TVs if that is an issue for you - we didn't miss it as going to the Theatre was better than TV anyway.

I had read prior reivews and talked to a family member who had stayed there and were told that the "thin walls" often lead to embarassment as you could easily hear into the adjoining room? We did not have that experience at all and felt very private. I don't know if there is a differnece between the "deluxe room" and other rooms but we did not have any adjoining room noise issues.

I had driven by this Inn many times in thepast and was always teling myself I shoudl check it out sometime - I am glad I did.

Room Tip: The deluxe room and the King room have their own private entrances in addition to access through the...

My husband and I recently enjoyed a tranquil, relaxing stay at the Rosebud Country Inn and a very entertaining theatre production at Rosebud Theatre. Although it was our first stay we were greeted warmly, like returning friends. Our accommodations were immaculate, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Our breakfast was delicious, fresh and reasonably portioned. In the afternoon, we also had tea and pie which was so yummy we bought a whole pie to take home with us. Our hostess provided clear and accurate directions to the theatre and other shopping experiences this small but delightful town has to offer. We are looking forward to planning a return visit in the fall and winter.

We , extended family of 4, recently spent a Friday evening at the Rosebud Country Inn. We had booked a package that included supper and a play at the Rosebud Theater and checking was very pleasant and problem free.
We were provided adjoining rooms and quickly found that, although the rooms were well appointed the wall between them was "tissue paper" quality. It was uncomfortable enough, not being able to speak above a low whisper, with family in the next room; However, it would have been a nightmare with strangers next door. The small balcony off the rooms was littered with peeling paint and grit off the shingles, requiring "at least" a good sweep or more appropriately a good scraping and repainting.
The included Breakfast was an interesting event. We were seated in a comfortable dining room and the server promptly offered us coffee. When my wife asked for Tea our server 'pulled the Houdini" and promptly vanished. We flagged down the innkeeper and inquired about the tea. A few minutes later the server reappeared with a pot of tea, plunked it down and walked away without a word. Our table for 4 had a small bowl of yogurt (1/3 cup) and a similar boll of granola. We were served a bowl of delectable fresh fruit that had been partially consumed at the adjoining table. As soon as we filled our small individual serving bowls the 'fruit bowl' was whisked away and served to another table. The next course was a 2" x2" square of the most poorly prepared "wife saver" that I have ever had the misfortune of tasting.
Would I return? likely not! The paper thin walls, and poor breakfast outweighed the friendly innkeeper and lovely rural setting.

Ah but this little village is a charmer. As four golfing buddies we loved Rosebud and the Rosebud Country Inn. We stayed four nights and things could not have been better. BJ, the owner, is perfect in the role of Inkeeper.

We have already recommended the Inn to relatives who will stay there this September. It's worth a visit to Rosebud to take in a play at the theater and be sure to stay at the Rosebud Country Inn.

Our stay at this wonderful inn was excellent from start to finish. The service was very personal, the room decorated and designed to relax, and the view from the dining room inspiring!
Attention to the small details that make a difference was evident everywhere!

We have stayed at the Rosebud Country Inn a number of times and it is always wonderful. BJ and Ken are friendly, professional and very good at what they do. Rosebud itself is such a treat. We go for the Theatre but have also stayed for special events in Rosebud such as Rosebud School of the Arts student final projects or showcases. The Inn is clean and welcoming, the beds are to-die-for comfortable, the pie is addictive and BJ always goes that extra mile. It's like a second home for us!

I came to Rosebud to see a student's final production. This is a time where Rosebud is very quiet as the dinner theatre is not running. BJ and her staff opened up her country inn to our group and it was a 5 star experience. We started the evening with a 4 course meal that was absolutely excellent. Next was a short walk/drive to the Studio Stage to see "You are Here." Upon returning to the Inn, we found our beds turned down with a lovely chocolate on the pillow. After a wonderful night's sleep under a warm duvet in a beautiful room, we were greeted with freshly brewed coffee and breakfast served in the dining room. What can I say about this place? The service is excellent; the rooms are beautiful and very clean; the views from the Inn to the east are exquisite. The food was exceptional. The added touches?....that would be the loft area upstairs where we enjoyed a glass of our own wine; the updated road report (we were at Rosebud in a blizzard), free Wi-Fi; and to end our visit, the snow had been brushed off our car when we departed. I would highly recommend the Rosebud County Inn, especially for those retreats planned in the theatre's off season....whether it be a Girlfriends' Weekend, a family gathering, or a romantic overnight stay. You won't be disappointed.
