“Wonderful people, great boat trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 June 2014 via mobile

Having arrived at the Harbour just as the O'Brien's boat was departing we asked at Mullowneys, when we were informed that they would run but usually only if they get 4 people. It looked like there were only going to be us, but as we had to fly back the next day they took just the 2 of us out.
Got my puffin therapy in and saw a Minke Whale

Great people, good knowledge

“Lots of fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2013

We did not book this tour, we were guests of people who lived in the area. It was a great afternoon of adventure! We saw about five-six whales, including a mother/child pair, and what seemed like millions of puffins on the cliffs nearby. The captain and crew were relaxed and made everyone feel comfortable. The boat was not huge but I think that helped because it seemed like the captain could maneuver quickly to get closer to the whales. A fun day!

“Saw a ton of whales!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 July 2013

Had a groupon for Mullowney's as they were offering 2 for 1 admission. It was the best boat tour I've been on! I wasn't expecting much as we didn't see any whales at all on the boat tour I went on last summer (with a different company). I was pleasantly surprised as we saw a ton of whales this time around. The weather was pretty horrible (cold and very windy with lots of waves which made some children sea sick) but the whale sightings made it very worth it! Highly recommend going in July as I think you'll see more whales!

“Great boat tour for a family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 August 2012

Only a 25 minute drive from St John's.
Boat tour taking by our family - polite, relaxed and informative staff and an experience enjoyed by all ages. No whales at this time of year but lots of puffins, Merrs and gannens (sp?).
Staff informative friendly and small group size permits more one on one time. Captain Oscar even allow kids to steer the boat briefly and an interesting source of information on the the Newfoundland local coast.
Money well spent and time well invested. No other boat tours taken for comparison.
