“Well worth a visit!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 April 2012

Guess all the previous reviews have provided sufficient tempt to visit this lovely attraction. I will just cover a little information which may be useful.

1. There is a daily bus from Belo Horizonte Rodavaria Bus Station operated by SARITUR departing platform F2 at 0915 sharp! Buy tickets (R$27.68 return) at ticket booth on Concourse level before boarding. the journey is 1.5 hours and the return is at 1630h from Inhotim carpark.

2. Strongly advice you pay the extra R$10 for the 'Transporte Internal' which is the golf buggies that will ferry you 'Hop on, hop off' to most sights dotted along 2 set routes.

3. The bigger loop should take about 2-3 hours. whilst the smaller about 1-2 hour. (walking slightly fast between displays after buggy drops) this give enough time for lunch in between at the Tamboril Restaurant which presents a delicious buffet for R$49 pp++ (dessert buffet is additional R$12) in posh settings.

“Art & Nature”

Be prepared to spend 2 days at Inhotim. It will worth it!
Don't be shy to take the golf cars. The museum attractions are really spread around the park. I recommend staying at Pousada Estalagem Do Mirante, in Brumadinho.

“Amazing”

This does not seem like Brazil! It is dificult to describe Inhotim. Besides being an amazing botanical garden it also has one of the most interesting art collections. You do need several hours. We were there for 5 hours and were not able to explore everyting. We stopped to eat at the Omelet restaurant, which was very unique but probably not the most interesting option available!
we flew in to BH, rented a car and from Inhotim went to Ouro Preto! Very easy and great scenary!
HIGHLY recommend the visit!

“Brazilian art and nature park”

Easy to reach from BH by bus, but there is only one bus per day at 9 in the morning, so don't miss it. Some of the installations are interesting, other are a bit strange, but mother nature carefully tended will make it up for you. A day well spent.
