Grab your bathing suits and your picnic baskets. Gan Hashlosha or Sachne is a Tropical oasis that should not be missed. A great day trip or a fantastic place to stop on the way up to Northern Israel. Take a refreshing swim in the natural springs and stand under one of the several waterfalls for added fun. Note that the water of the main three pools is quite deep so it is recommended to bring flotation devices for younger children or for adults who are not great swimmers. The small store there does sell swim noodles and rings just in case you dont have your own. There are also two shallow pools which are great for young children. There are adequate changing facilities and ample green space for picnics. If you are travelling with young children Gan Hashlosha shares a parking lot with Gan Garoo a kangaroo park where you can interact with kangaroos!

“Lovely oasis, swim in the spring pools”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 September 2013

This is aa great stopover if you are driving up to the north of Israel . Spend a few hours relaxing and swimming, especially with children. As others have warned, best avoided on weekends and school holidays, but out of season or early morning mid week it is beautiful. The facilies are simple, reasonably clean when we visited ( midweek in September). The nearby kangaroo park is also pleasant to visit, again children will love the opportunity to get close to these rather odd animals.

“The best place for a hot summer day”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 August 2013

This place is a national treasure, and is very much worth seeing. The park is very well planned out to let you get a good overview of the natural beauty of the area and spend a replaceable day. The place is a little bit crowded but it is huge and there is enough place for everybody. You can picnic there or eat in a local restaurant. However, of cores the main is the cool water with a little fish inside. This is an incredibly beautiful place. I highly recommend it.

“Great place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2013

Fresh water springs, waterfalls, places for kids to enjoy, just bring your floaties (mattrasses, bugies, whatever - they sell them there also) and lie down in the water. Get a free pedicure by small fish in the lakes. :) The water is just the right temperature, if it's too hot, you can sit in the water. Also, you can BBQ there, have picnics and spend whole day!
During peak seasons there are just too many people there, so you have to be careful as when to get there! Otherwise, perfect!

“Filthy & Crowded”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2013

Gan Hashlosha, also called Sachne, is a National Park around several natural pools and waterfalls surrounded by a beautiful and well tended park. The water is 28 C. all year round, therefore you can swim even in winter if the outside temperature is warm enough, which it often is in this area of Israel. There are toilets, changing rooms, several simple restaurants, barbecue areas. The pools are quite deep, but there are some with shallow water for non swimmers and small kids; there is also a waterfall under which you can stand to get a vigorous massage on your shoulders, and another lower one near an old watermill where you can sit and get a mild general massage. During opening hours, there are lifeguards. The pools have fish in them.

Sounds like paradise, but the crowds were horrendous and the facilities (and swim areas) were so filthy many members of our party refused to change or go swimming. BBQers were eating in the swim areas and discarding cups, food and wrappers on the ground and in the water (wherever it fell actually). The changing rooms/washrooms were so dirty my 3 year declared them "disgusting"! Perhaps it was the day we chose (or the beginning of summer vacation), but we cannot reccomend this place. It was one of the few real downers on our wonderful trip to Israel.
