We had only a short visit to Sussex and needed to be in this area. After a long walk over the beautiful Downs we were glad to get to our B&B and find is warm and welcoming. Duck Lodge has been designed with style and comfort in mind. It is also very private and suitable for any season of the year. In good weather you could also sit outside by the French windows, and have a go the hot tub! Breakfast was an ample, continental style affair with plenty of hot coffee and tea. You help your self from fridge so again your privacy is not compromised. A short walk away was a very good pub for dinner - nice not to be getting in the car again to go for a meal. The village is small but very pretty. There is a lot of noise from the roads that surround Pyecombe but once you are in the cabin this is not intrusive. Keith is a very friendly and helpful host.

Everything was as advertised but better. Breakfast arrangements perfect for my purposes and location ideal for my visit to Shoreham the following morning. Would definitely recommend to anyone seeking peace and quiet

A fantastic room with everything needed for
a really comfortable and private stay. Keith is a fantastic host who has clearly thought of everything. My mum and dad said they wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

After a long 20 miles on the South Downs Way, it was wonderful to arrive at Duck Lodge, which is situated right on the Way, in the secluded back garden of the owner, Keith. The Lodge is cozy and well-appointed, with an adjacent pantry from which one can fetch breakfast at a time of one's choosing. There is also a good pub restaurant nearby, making this an excellent option for those wanting to get to know the area better.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay in Duck Lodge. I was so sorry to hear you coudn't walk your next leg of the SDW from Pyecombe to Alfriston with your wife due to your arduas 23 mile journey that day. I hope giving you a lift to Alfriston to meet your wife was helpfull, and you managed to walk to Eastbourne the following day. Hope to see you again soon

It took me a while to find somewhere outside Brighton which had a sense of luxury to it and this is just the place. Even more important, Keith welcomes you so warmly and is such a helpful and kind host. He's thought of everything. Breakfast is included in your night away PLUS use of the incredible jacuzzi - blissful after walking in the Downs. Loved it!
