“Homemade Donuts are the least of its perks...”
Reviewed 14 December 2011

I was away for a training course and my Boss had booked me in at The Grange. What a fantastic choice! Sarah and Stewart were exceptional hosts - nothing was too much bother for them and they went out of their way to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. From the moment I entered, greeted by the smell of home made donuts, they both exuded warmth and hospitality. Stewart even took me to my course each morning after breakfast, and picked me up when my day was done. My room was beautifully furnished and well kept, and the house is an enjoyment in itself because of its age and history. The food is better than many restaurants and the service better than many hotels; I've been to many of both and Sarah and Stewart outdid them all in many respects. Please choose The Grange if you need somewhere to stay in the area, you'll be missing out if you don't!

Room Tip: Limited rooms, but mine was very spacious and beautifully furnished.

I stayed here for several extended periods in the first part of the year and cannot recommend The Grange highly enough. The property, rooms and hosts, (Sarah and Stuart) are quite exceptional in every respect. Each of the bedrooms are beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable, (I stayed in each of them during my time here!) the whole of the property is extremely well appointed, both inside and outside, a truly comfortable and homely place. The hosts are exceptional cooks with a passion for food and it puts many restaurants to shame. Sarah and Stuart are extremely friendly and hospitable and it is obvious that they both enjoy and take great pride in running The Grange. Whether for business or pleasure I am sure you will enjoy your stay, and return!

I stay with Sarah & Stewart regularly, travelling on business to Normanton. The Grange is a fantastic B&B with two hosts who are masters in their craft of hosting and entertaining. Each of the three beautifully appointed bedrooms are a home away from home and I would recommend anyone travelling to this area, either on business or for pleasure to stay at The Grange. You will not be disappointed.

I stayed here for 4 nights on business due to the adverse weather. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. Stuart and Sarah are very hospitable and cannot do enough for you. You feel part of the family rather than just another guest as you do in the larger commercial hotels. This is the first time I have not used a large hotel whilst on business and I really enjoyed my stay. The home cooked food was excellent.

A brilliant few days thanks to Stuart and Sarah as they do everything they can to make staying here like spending a weekend with friends. The atmosphere is easy going and nothing is to much trouble and great attention to detail. The only problem with the bed was that I had to get out of it too soon as it was so comfortable but it was worth it to be met by a really good breakfast with plenty of choice. They do meals so just ask as they are brill and really good value for money. Thoroughly enjoyable few days and one I hope to repeat soon. Highly recommended
