Favara has been a nice surprise......we went there last saturday as a friend of ours had her 40th birthday party. We stayed in this very cute hotel (near piazza Cavour) with modern furniture and a great attention to details. Our room was near the terrace and the view was absolutely amazing.....it reminded me Andalucian cities like Seville or Granada. The location is great......many interesting palaces overlooks Piazza Cavour....above all, "Castello di Chiaramonte" (Chiaramonte's castle), which is a great example of post-norman (suabian) architecture in Sicily.

This Little Hidden Hotel is a complete Gem.Spotlessly clean, with all the necesary ammenities you could want.My Family of 7 stayed here last week as we were attending a wedding close by at the Chiarmonte Castle,Salvatore arranged an Iron and Ironing board for our clothes, gave us directions to where we needed to be upon our arrival, and even a 5.30 am check out was not too much trouble for him to offer us coffee and breakfast before our journey.
We had dinner one evening at the restaurant and the food was top class. I would very Highly recommend a stay at the Belmonte Hotel.the roof terrace is also a great place to relax and enjoy the good weather.
Thank you to all the staff you are very profesional. regards Jane Hillman

Room Tip: single room had 2 single beds. all double rooms have aircon, fridge and tv although only in Italian...

We wanted to visit Agrigento, but decided to stay outside of town at this hotel in Favara. As other posts have mentioned, finding it can be a little tricky, which seems to be the case for most addresses in towns in Italy.

Staying here was a good decision, as we speak very little Italian. Julia and Salvatore both speak fluent English, and were very helpful in offering information about the area. They even helped us move our car closer to the hotel in the evening, when we arrived in the midst of a traffic jam one evening.

The buffet breakfast was a good spread, with cappucino and espresso on hand. We opted for dinners at the downstairs restaurant, and were not disappointed. The antipasti and gnocchi were fantastic, as well as the other items we ordered off the menu.

Our one complaint is that we left the bathroom window open one night, and awoke in the middle of the night to a loud thunderstorm. I would recommend closing the windows before going to bed if you are a light sleeper.

Otherwise, it's a good base for exploring the area, and there are a few sights in walking distance from the hotel. The art park just around the corner is a great place to visit if you enjoy contemporary art and design.

We were in Sicily recently and was so pleasantly surprised with our choice for Belmonte Hotel.. It was difficult to find, we needed a GPS. But, the owner, Salvatore, told us a different way to go and it was easier than the GPS. His hotel has it all, great new beds and rooms, gracious hosts, and a delicious restaurant!!! We don't normally eat at hotel restaurants, but this town didn't offer many options. So, we tried the one in the hotel. We ate there the first, and EVERY night. The food was delicious, and the service was great! They had many little nice touches, one example, a choice of salts on the table. Every request was received and done. Will return again happily. The owner is at the desk and always willing to help..Great!
