“Delightful!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 October 2013

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at Solley's Farm House and we cannot praise it highly enough. It is in the small village of Worth, which is close to Sandwich and a great base for exploring the cinque ports and other sights of east Kent. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and our every need was catered for, with chocolates and fruit providing that extra touch. And what can we say about Sandy and Peter? They were full of information on the area, including a few good tips on local eateries, and extremely charming. Breakfast was a well-cooked feast. A place to return to without a doubt.

Room Tip: All 3 rooms are lovely. We stayed in the gold room but frankly would have loved any of them!

We have just stayed here for the second time, sadly the first time I forgot to do a review. I would like to make up for that now!
Hmmmm what do I say that has not been said before... Well let me start with Sandy, it is so rare to actually meet a lady who loves people so much, we were stuck in traffic and we arrived late but Sandy has us all relaxed and smiling within minutes. We were made so welcome, within minutes the China Tea Set appeared and bye the way the Lemon Drizzle Cake was just as good as I remember it.
I think that most of Sandy's regular guests will probably agree that Solley's Farm is possibly the best all round B&B in the UK...yes it is that delightful.
If any people are going on Cruises or Cross Channel Ferries, Solley's Farm is only a short distance from Dover, a taxi ride is not expensive so if you want to stay somewhere special before a Cruise this is a fabulous way to start a holiday.
Sandy, on behalf of Lynne, Robin and Del may we thank you.

Room Tip: We have stayed in them all now, all are lovely. There is no Pool or Fitness Centre but I could not f...

An absolutely fantastic stay! Sandy and Peter are the most friendly and helpful hosts you could wish for and made their lovely house feel like a home from home for us. Sandy`s attention to detail is fantastic, nothing is too much trouble, definately 5 star gold and yet she and Peter make you feel so relaxed and comfortable you feel you have known them for years. All that and the lovely Kent countryside adds up to a real treat. PS. Thankyou Peter for the superb breakfasts! ...and good luck with the fox!

A very comfortable farmhouse B&B in a sleepy no through traffic village. A very attentive landlady who was warm and friendly and full of ideas and advice of where to visit locally. A very nicely cooked breakfast, which you could choose your selection the night before. We couldn't fault the accommodation, bed and bathroom were very clean with lots of attention to detail; bath towels changed daily and well as a hoover through and room tidy after we left for the day. If you are a light sleeper (like I am) then the hourly chiming of the town clock may take a little getting used too. Two local pubs within walking distance do good food at about £15 per head. Walk into Sandwich was on the flat about 1/2 trek, as was the beach, we were on a walking holiday, so flat easy walking to Deal as well as Sandwich and then further up the coast. Easy buses into Canterbury, about a 50 minute ride. The accommodation deserves the 5 star rating and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this accommodation to those who like to be pampered and really taken care of.

To be absolutely honest, Worth was never a place I thought I’d visit, but Solley Farm House made me glad I did. Sandy’s reception was warm and the room was luxurious. It was the bathroom, however, that stole the show. Nine square metres of ablution heaven that would have humbled a Roman emperor. And if you’d like to take your newly scrubbed self out on the town, Sandy’s knowledge of the region is encyclopaedic. From Huguenot Weaver’s Cottages to Obscure French Delicatessens, she’ll give you the deal on Deal with an on-the-spot itinerary as well as recommendations on where, and where not, to eat. There’s no fridge in the room, but apart from that, it’s a treat.

We spent a truly wonderful weekend at Solley's Farmhouse. The house is beautiful. On arrival we were warmly greeted by Sandy and offered tea and cake. We stayed in the rose room which was beautiful and comfortable, with fresh flowers and fruit and everything you might need was here. The bathroom was large and clean. with plenty of toiletries. The views from our window over looked the beautiful flowered garden, so peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast was delicious, we had the full English that set us up for the day, so much choice to choose from. Sandy couldn't do enough for us and made our weekend truly memorable. Its very close to the coast and places of interest. We would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a luxurious stay. A real treat.

Sincere and hospitable hosts - great advice on where to go and what to see - absolutely brilliant.
Beautiful and very comfortable room. Lovely garden too. Well deserved cuppa and cake on arrival. Top breakfast - went for the full English on the second morning but couldn't finish it!
Will definitely go back. Big thanks to Sandy!
