We arrived at Motel 400 at approximately 11pm on Friday night. When we got there the person in the office gave us the run down of how things worked. He seemed nice enough. He put us in Room 1 next to the office. In the room the window was broken, and it was really cold. The thermostat suggested it was 20 degrees but we turned it up to 25 and it still didn't get any warmer. You could tell that it wasn't the cleanest place. The towels were yellowed and there were almonds behind the bedside table and a poppy pinned to the lamp. It was a non-smoking room which had obviously been smoked in and it was really dark in there and everything was really dusty. I was then really surprised when at 10am (check out time is 11am) there was a knock on the door and someone yelled "housekeeping". Not only were they an hour early for check out time, we were still sleeping, and she didn't wait for a reply before attempting to open the door. My husband shouted back that we were still in there and she said she'd come back later. She showed up again half an hour later. . .still not 11am! Anyway, I get the idea that most people don't spend the whole night there. Also, something strange to mention they barely receive any channels there yet seem to have cable and in the middle of watching our show a black box showed up on the screen similar to satellite channel listing and the channel changed. I was pretty disappointed not to be able to see the end of my show since even in flipping through the channels again it now didn't exist. All I can say is that for the cost per night $85 it certainly wasn't worth it. I would not stay there again!
