“Warm, comfortable and extremely peaceful”
Reviewed 26 November 2016 for a stay in November 2016

The cottage has real character with low beams, narrow stairs and log burner. It is very peaceful with no traffic noise and bird feeders right outside the kitchen window. The cottage was perfect for our short winter break - very warm, with everything we needed. Owner even left us a pint of milk and bottle of wine!

We had a lovely relaxing weekend. Watching the birds from the kitchen window. Falling asleep in front off the woodburner. Going for walks in the neighbourhood. Lovely pubs not too far away. Great kitchen for cooking a meal. Eventhough we are both quite tall we adjusted to the low ceiling rather quickly. Would love to come back soon. Thanks. Nicole and Pete.

Well equipped , and welcoming with milk and bottle of wine! The low beams/doorways and stairs were a challenge to get used to. The patio area was a lovely sun trap in which to relax. Good weather was an added bonus.

I have reviewed this cottage previously but it has changed ownership since then, so the review has vanished into the ether! My wife and I have stayed at Mistletoe on four occasions and I can only say what a pleasure it is - the visitor book is full of repeat visits which speaks for itself really... It's perfect for two people and the countryside setting is wonderful. If you are seeking a bit of a romantic bolt hole or peace and quiet, then go. You don't have to travel far to enjoy great walks, pubs and attractions, but equally it's an ideal base if you do want to explore Suffolk. The owners are charming and we will be going back as often as we can.

“fantastic cottage”

This cottage is really lovely. It easily caters for two people. It is spotlessly clean and the owners very helpful. A lovely touch was a bottle of wine for us in the dining room. Everything you require in a kitchen is there and also games and puzzles in case you get bored! Cottage itself about 15 mins from Southwold and easy to get to other attractions such as Sutton Hoo or Mimsmere. Loads of lovely walks also within easy reach.
The only reason not given five stars is you should be aware that there are very low ceilings in the cottage so if tall you will have to stoop. Plus stairs upstairs are a bit steep and windy. Neither of these spoiled our enjoyment and we would defn go back again. Jiust something to note in case it would affect your enjoyment.

“Lovely cosy cottage”

Mistletoe cottage is a small well appointed period cottage with beams and low ceilings. It is well equipped and warm and cosy, so would be good to stay there in the winter. The only drawback is the low beams and doorways which could result in a few bumped heads. Great situation to visit the surrounding area. Plenty to explore round about. Two pubs nearby which it is advisable to book. All in all we would recommend this cottage and Suffolk as a place to stay.

“A charming and peaceful experience absolutely as described”

Mistletoe Cottage is a gem of the highest calibre, everything about the rental process was easy and efficient. Andrew and Linda where the perfect hosts and the bottle of wine left for our arrival was very much appreciated as was the milk, tea bags and sugar . The character stair case did need some care but we soon became adept at climbing it, low beams also need to be remembered ...... We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and look forward to returning later in the year.
