Myself, hubby and two boys stay here quite a few times a year as we have family who live in the area. it is a nice family friendly hotel and the breakfast is a buffet which is ideal for kids. We always stay in the family room which is nice but small, the kids have a separate room with a tv but there is no bath (only a shower) which is quite compact. I've given it 4 stars as the mattress on the double bed is like a rock and there is no view from the window, but to be honest we only use the hotel as a place to sleep and occasionally eat. The staff are friendly and the pool and hot tub are amazing! We are booked up again for august this year. My only complaint is that when we were there last (may 2013) a female member of staff mentioned a few times that we should stop our kids from getting too hyper (words to that effect!) when they were actually being good and quite calm! It won't put us off staying again as it is a lovely hotel overall.

Room Tip: There is a room in the attic which is lovely and quite with a lovely en suite with a bath ( i can...

I held my mums 60th surprise birthday party at the Beeches Hotel, and I could not have been happier with everything!

The team were all so helpful and attentive, meeting with me on several occasions to organise things, even helped put up the decorations on the big day!

The food was beautiful, and the whole event ran so smoothly thanks to the team! Everything was also very reasonably priced compared to some other ridiculously priced places that I had been to see!

All in all, my mum had a wonderful birthday, thanks to the team at the beeches, and I would highly recommend it for anyone wanting to hold a function (ask for Martin to organise it)

Comfortable hotel, bathroom very small and just a shower which suited us but some people like a bath. Bed was comfortable and the windows could be opened to allow fresh air in. Staff friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was very good. Good location and good car parking available. Did not try the pool or gym as they are not on my favourite things to do !!! However they looked OK from the outside.

Staff were all courteous, pleasant and helpful. Restaurant and bar areas clean and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner superb, all freshly cooked and very tasty. Hotel ideally situated for sports stadia in Trent Bridge area; very pleasant walk along riverside paths to/from football ground/hotel.Loads of free parking. Room clean and comfortable although a bit small for executive room. Will definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Room was at front but little noise from main road. Executive room was quite small so don't know...

Dear Guest

I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience at The Beeches Hotel with others.

With a highly skilled team of Chef's on site, I was delighted to hear that you had the opportunity to enjoy both dinner and breakfast. I have passed your positive feedback over to them.

The Hotel is situated less then 1 mile from both the City Ground and Trent Bridge, and only 2 miles from the City Centre of Nottingham. Allowing for easy access via foot, taxi or bus (from directly outside the Hotel).

If you have a specific room you would like please do not hesitate to contact the Hotel direct to speak to a member of our Reception team who will be only too happy to help with all requests.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff were all, without exception, most
helpful, polite, courteous and efficient - not something you always experience even in posher hotels. They deserve this special mention especially as there was a wedding reception in progress so the hotel was very busy. We had booked an Executive Double room which itself was spacious enough for our needs and the ensuite bathroom too offered plenty of room. The four poster king size bed was a pleasant surprise and proved extremely comfortable.
We enjoyed the swimming pool, jaccuzi and steam room but didn't use the gym although it looked quite well equipped - at a modest sized hotel like this these facilities were most welcome and the hotel does well to maintain them in such good and clean condition.

Menu choice for dinner in the evening was very good (not a bad wine list either) and both the food and service were excellent. The self service breakfast the following morning was, if anything, merely OK but the food was hot and we weren't exactly starving either.

The hotel is very conveniently located for easy access into Nottingham city centre and for football and cricket fans the two Nottingham league football grounds and Trent Bridge cricket ground are all within walking distance. And a simple stroll along the river Trent is virtually just across the road.

With a good sized car park, good facilities and friendly staff this hotel offers good allround value for money - you could spend a lot more but The Beeches takes some beating in its class.

Just one observation concerning our room: if it's not on the 'to do' list for redecorating then it should be as it really needs a refresh soon.

Room Tip: Front rooms face busy main road so traffic noise is something to bear in mind; perhaps best to book...

Went as part of a large family group to celebrate a Wedding. A pleasent booking in and dealings with the hotel ran smoothly had the wedding reception in a large room with plenty of room. I dont think the service was great to be honest as if you wanted anything then they would say "OK, ill get it sir/madam" but in reaity they would just forget due to being over worked or maybe they were just not bothered? I dont know which but in both meals, wedding lunch and breakfast i thought the same. The food was not great however not poor either with breakfast being all you can eat suited me fine! They did have one of those posh toaster where you put the bread on and it goes though once and comes out warm bread and put it though twice and it come out coal, however they seem to be alll the fasion where ever you stay nowdays - whats wrong with a normal toaster that makes toast? Anyway thats nit picking the breakfast was good.

All id say is the noise level in the hotel was far to high for me maybe because there was our wedding there and a hen party, rattleing in at the hours of the night i like to sleep! For this reason i would say stay here if your young/deaf or a bit of a party animal but i dont think its the place for couples, Also the bar was quite expensive too, In short your could get better value for money and a beeter nights sleep elsewhere.

Dear Guest

Thank you for leaving your review on the Hotel.

I was disappointed to hear your comments regarding the service from the staff, made even more so when we had such wonderful comments regarding both the food and service from so many people within your group, including the Bride, Groom and immediate family.

Being a few miles outside the city centre the Hotel is generally quiet and people enjoy the peace during their stay here. We do however hold functions from time to time and always liaise with guests to ensure this will not impact on their stay prior to booking.

I was really disappointed to hear that you felt the Hotel to be noisy when it was noise from the Wedding that you were attending and therefore well aware it was taking place in the Hotel.

I hope you do visit again in the future where a member of staff will happily liaise with you at the time of booking to arrange a room in the quietest area of the Hotel.
