“Family Get Together”
Reviewed 31 July 2018 for a stay in July 2018

We recently spent a long weekend at Dukes Farm for a family get together. We rented the two larger properties together which were more than adequate for the 12 of us. The accommodation was very clean and spacious and the toiletries provided in each bathroom were a nice touch. The kitchens were well equipped and allowed us to eat together every night. The outlook of the Black mountains was fantastic and we were lucky to have good weather allowing us to make the most of the spectacular views with barbeques on the terraces.
Ruth and Ken are a warm and friendly couple who were attentive to our needs whilst respecting our privacy.
The kids loved the games room as did the more competitive adults amongst us!
We all agreed that we would love to return in the future.

“Wonderful location with breathtaking views.”
Reviewed 9 July 2018 for a stay in May 2018

Six friends travelling from Australia were lucky enough to spend a few days at Dukes Farm at the end of May early June this year.
The house had everything we needed - even a washing machine (useful when travelling).
We spent most days out and about - but it was so lovely to return to this home away from home, in the quiet countryside, with sheep as our only neighbours.
The kitchen was very well set up, with more than enough crockery, cutlery and glassware - allowing us to sit around and discuss our day with a glass of wine and some local cheeses.
Highly recommend.

Thanks for taking the time to leave this review. It is always irritating to run out of items before a dishwasher cycle, so we do make sure you're well-stocked. Glad it's appreciated.

“Goose Cotts- Dukes Farm and Percy the Cat”
Reviewed 2 July 2018 for a stay in June 2018

We had the most fabulous time and felt sad returning home after an enjoyable week. Absolutely stunning location with panoramic views all round. Both Ruth and Ken were very warm and welcoming with an open door policy. Our Poppy (Yorkie) was no match for Percy the cat in a boxing match- never seen such large boxing gloves for paws! Loved nearby by Hay-on-Wye and The Bridge Inn at Michaelchurch and further afield, Ludlow and Malvern. We spent three enjoyable evenings at the farm, 3 fields up and 3 fields over exploring for the ancient burial cist and weren't coming home until we found it. Phew- we opened a bottle of fizz to celebrate our find. Ruth now knows the exact location, but we will not tell. Enjoy.

Ahhh! Percy loved the attention. Thanks for measuring the exact location of the Bronze Age burial cist - we tell everyone now how to find it!

“Lovely stay”
Reviewed 8 June 2018 for a stay in May 2018

Our group of 6 recently stayed at Dukes Farm while attending the 2018 Hay on Wye Writers’ Festival. The owners have clearly put great thought into the details that make a stay comfortable , and we would all recommend, or even better , stay again if we are lucky enough. The location is breathtaking and I only wish we had had more time to read the history ( provided!) and walk the area. Fingers crossed we get the chance sometime.
